Great guide in Allan and top driver in Eamon! Such a great Adventure!

Our Guide Allen was outstanding for help and knowledge of his lovely country. Our driver was so helpful and would go the extra kilometre for us. The wildlife was wonderful.

Allan the Explore Leader was an exceptional guide and the tour overall was excellent. Wildlife amazing. However, on arriving in San Jose we went up and down the same road a number of times and then when we went to Turriabla the place we stayed was below standard and it was too far from the activities. After a long day of travelling to the Guyaibo Lodge we then had to travel a further 1hr 20 mins to the finca farm, to then travel back down same route. In the morning, to go whitewater rafting we then had to travel on the same road another 3 hr round trip and then on then the next day when leaving we travelled on the same road AGAIN! Explore please reconsider the route as this is the only issue.

One criticism. There are many hours of travel. Whereas most is inevitable to see the variation of the country, one day we passed close to the Rapids area and drove for a further hour or so to reach our hotel. We later drove an hour or so back to use the Rapids, then an other hour back again to the hotel. All would have been unnecessary if the hotel was neared the Rapids. The is my only complaint about the whole holiday. Our guide Allan was brilliant, a very friendly guy, always smiling, well -planned and informative, and had tremendous knowledge about wildlife. His skill at taking phone photos down his telescope were amazing.

Thoroughly enjoyed this trip and has been one of my favourite trips with Explore. The wildlife has been magical and it was amazing to see such an abundance of animals just on the doorstep of the lodges we were staying in as well as on the tours. The group was a fantastic bunch of people and our driver Haimer was a real gentleman. Our guide Allan was so passionate and it came across in his vast knowledge of wildlife. He was a great organiser and very patient and a pleasure to be around. Thanks again Explore for another fabulous unforgettable experience!

Wildlife galore. Our tour leader Gerardo Zamora can find any animal. Perfect guide. Luis Chinchilla is the very best and safest driver anywhere. Both great companions. The tour is very adventurous with precious free time as well. You really go to some of the greatest areas in CR. Hotels and lodges are unbeatable, and everything is taken care of. Insane pictures. Travel companions are like family. Unforgettable!
