Costa Rica Tours in September 2026

The trip was amazing - Best holiday ever. Our guide, Diego, went above and beyond to make sure that we had a fabulous holiday - keeping four teens from 14 to 20 entertained on a holiday isn't always easy but we all loved it.

Two weeks in Costa Rica getting to explore the country's most beautiful and diverse sites was one of the most incredible adventures I have been on. The fact that all places are so unique and diverse from one another and getting to see incredible wildlife throughout the trip was fantastic.

Great all around trip. The guide (Jeff) was organized, attentive and fun to be around. Briefings each day were informative and useful. The food was excellent, camp sites were good. The rafting was very exhilarating. The equipment was in good condition and they were prepared for mishaps. We had bike chain break but they had spare bike readily available. You could push yourself as hard or as easy as you felt comfortable.

My BFF and I recently spent 12 days in Costa Rica. We followed the 9 day itinerary and added 2 extra days. Using Charlie the Traveler was the best decision we could have made regarding this trip. From our arrival pick up in Liberia airport to our departure drop off in San Jose airport, there was not one complaint or concern throughout our time in CR. The itinerary was well laid out and planned. We were able to see many of CR's beautiful landscapes and topography. Beautiful beaches, volcanoes, waterfalls, rain/cloud forest, wild life, etc...We saw it all!! The coordinat- ion and planning of this trip by Charlie was perfect. We were able to enjoy our trip without any hassles, getting lost, standing in lines, or trying to figure out what to see or where to go. We were also given a 24 hr. on call concierge for any questions or concerns. Such peace of mind for navigating a foreign country. We were provided a full detailed itinerary that included what to wear or bring to an excursion and times to show up in lobby. We cannot speak highly enough about Charlie the Traveler! We are definately going to book our next adventure through Charlie! If you are not a fan of planning a vacation on your own...try it out! Sometimes it felt of beeing on an 18 to 30 ish journey not a classic one I used to book. Maybe I did not read the small print close enough but in the end it was fine and also the nice people in our group made the journey easier and very pleasant at some times especially in the first part of the trip and as well Christian as our leader.

Our guide Oscar was brilliant. We all had such a wonderful family-focused wildlife adventure. The trip was pretty pacey and tiring but also great to pack so many highlights into a fortnight. Also, recommend going in low season (August) as although it is rainy season, we were lucky to see green turtles nesting on one coast and baby humpback whales on the other.
