When to go to Costa Rica
The majority of travelers planning to discover Costa Rica’s wealth of attractions heads for the country during the dry season, roughly between the months of December through to April. It is best to avoid traveling to the country during the months of May to November because of the rain, although if you’re planning a Costa Rica custom tour during this time, head to areas around the country’s Caribbean coast and Monteverde Cloud Forest—they are less affected by downpours. How long to stay in Costa Rica
There are no right or wrong answers as to how long you should spend in Costa Rica. But there are better answers than others! Less than five days is good enough to cover the highlights in Costa Rica, and one week will make it possible to take in a couple of the country’s other wonders. We recommend spending at least 10 days in Costa Rica so that you can incorporate a few activities like rafting in the Sarapiqui river or extend your journey by relaxing in the amazing beaches that line the country. Must-visit destinations in Costa Rica
The country’s capital, San José, tends to be excluded from many customized Costa Rica itineraries despite the city having a thriving culture. Many tend to overlook La Fortuna as well. We recommend a visit to both. Along with Arenal, the other must-see destinations in the country include Irazu Volcano and Manuel Antonio National Park, the latter of which combines epic beaches with pristine jungles.
