Turkey Tours and Trips

Our Wonders of Turkey Tour was an incredible experience from start to finish! We were truly impressed with the hotels, smooth planning, and attention to every detail. Our tour director, Furhan, took exceptional care of the group and shared so much knowledge and history throughout the journey. Our driver, Ferhat, was outstanding, experienced, and always welcoming. There’s no way we could have explored so many historic places so comfortably on our own. Every part of the tour was thoughtfully organized while still keeping the group engaged and entertained throughout!

Great! Really enjoyed it! I like how we went around Turkey and discovered so many things about Turkey specifically mama Mary’s house, it’s role in World War I. It’s history, the amazing landscape of Cappadocia and ancient civilization.. I also love Fu. He is the best Travel director.!

The whole experience was excellent. Our guide Nebil was first class - his knowledge of the walks and monuments was exemplary but he was also great fun and so respectful to each and every member of our group, and also the locals that we encountered on our daily walks, meals out with families and generally everyone with whom our paths crossed. A fantastic week of hiking with some days more challenging than others. Our small group of 8 got on brilliantly and our guide, Emre, was friendly and supportive. Beautiful scenery and wildlife, interesting archaeology, and we were lucky with weather which was dry but not too hot. There are some steep drops on the trail which those with a fear of heights won't enjoy and some steep sections both up and down over unstable ground. I was glad to have walking poles for stability and encouragement from the guide and the group. On many of the more remote sections, we had the trail to ourselves. As others have mentioned in reviews, not all of the accommodation is to the same standard, but the food at the Gey village house was delicious. The boat trip is a lovely, relaxing end to the tour.

This was my second trip with Explore and my first as a single traveller. I would highly recommend. I loved everything about the trip apart from the transport which was uncomfortable for the lengthier drives. The ancient cities we visited were very impressive and brought to life by our friendly and very well informed guide, Mert. The boat trips and time spent in the bazaars and at Gallipoli were highlights. I think all of our friendly group of 6 would have welcomed an additional day with the tour guide in Istanbul.

A great trip, a couple of steep climbs, should be ok for someone with good general fitness. Ali our guide was extremely good, knowledgeable and always ready to answer our questions about Turkey and the historic sites we visited.
