The Portuguese Camino provides a unique multi-stage walk that highlights the most important sections of the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela. It is a beautiful walk steeped in ancient Celtic, Roman and Medieval heritage.
Silvia, the guide was amazing. All the information before the trip was excellent. Not enough walking for me. Accommodation was so mixed but the beds were always very comfortable.
A wonderful walk on the Portuguese Camino. Our guide Sylvia was excellent, hotels and transport wonderful. All in all a superb 10 days
They were easy to work with, and created a great itinerary for us. Our guide, Sylvia, was outstanding. Knowledgeable, kind and very helpful.
Our guide Sylvia was superb and looked after us so very well. Our bus driver was very careful and drove very safely the whole week. Most of our hotels were also very good as were the meals. We would recommend Sylvia and the Portuguese Camino to our friends. Thank you.
One of the best holidays I've had - good guide, good company and good hiking.
Excellent accommodation, meals & guide. Good balance of walking & tours, leaving time for exploring stunningly beautiful old town areas.
Great trip, with the right mix of trail walking, tours and free time.
We made it to Compostela by bussing and walking (along the prettiest of the Portuguese Camino fragrant with flowers), and 5-course meals and lattes and cathedrals and tours of Porto and Lisbon and stairs and hotels and the most best guide, Sylvia (with driver, Francisco) who knew how to herd the cats who were our (more-or-less elderly) team of periginos and who cohesioned us into a family. Sylvia let us keep our own pace that included stopping for coffees. At the end of the days, we had lots of free time to explore our destination city. Sylvia and Francisco took care of each of us. I’m so sorry we’re done.
Great itinerary, well-paced, nice mix of exercise and culture. Very comfortable accommodations and organized guide.
Our guide Sergio was very good. I think me dissatisfaction came from the amount of walking involved which was not as extensive as we would have liked. On reflection the Camino walks are not the most picturesque as they ARE originally pilgrimages. We had very inclement weather towards the end of the tour which dampened spirits and enthusiasm somewhat. A clash of personalities between one guest and Sergio was unfortunate too.
I loved every minute of it. Our Guide, Manuel, was fantastic and went above and beyond.
A wonderful taste of the Portuguese Camino! The walk locations offered variety, contrast, and challenge; our guide went above and beyond to ensure we were offered a depth of knowledge and support to complete our journey together. So grateful for the opportunity and the experience.
Good choice of hotels but the first few days of walks were underwhelming. The walks were not strenuous but not very interesting either. The trip improved during the second half.
Enjoyed a beautiful walk at my own pace.
Great holiday experience from start to finish, in spite of the inclement weather. It did not deter the walking and site-seeing pleasure. The guide was top notch.
Wonderful experience from start to finish, in spite of the rain. The guide was key to success of the holiday. Good mix of walking and other niche tourist activities.
We felt this was an outstanding experience; our guide Maria was incredibly knowledgeable (customs, local history, architecture, food …) with an infectious enthusiasm for her part of the world. The experience was enriched by our fellow travellers. The itinerary felt well-paced, walking in the morning and visiting / guided tours of quaint towns in the afternoon. Great hotels to recharge in after a busy day. We can’t recommend this experience enough and have started planning our next walking trip with them again. Thank you!
We had very rainy weather for most of our walk so that did have an impact. Our guide was helpful, friendly, informative and unflappable. We (husband and I) enjoyed the walk despite the weather. Possibly the mix of walking and tourist attractions each day was overload, better to spend a little more time enjoying the walk rather than meeting a sightseeing schedule. Plus, suggest a stopover of 2 nights in one place mid tour.
