Excellent

Absolutely amazing experience!! The itinerary is perfect for someone wanting to see all the incredible diversities Africa has to offer. Would highly recommend this itinerary to first or returning travellers to Africa!

My husband and I have just completed the Kilimanjaro - Lemosho Trek and don't believe our experience could have been bettered. We were initially concerned that we were the only two people booked for this week with Explore and would miss out on the group experience. We really didn't feel this way. We were supported on the climb by our wonderful guides Julius and Eli and also by the fabulous team of Porters. So humbling to recognise their efforts and strength in managing all of the equipment and logistics. They also cooked us incredible meals with humour, smiles and even songs. The trek, terrain and altitude were a challenge for us and we could probably have benefitted from being some years younger! But we always knew we were completely safe and cared for with incredible attention. Great trip, many memories, thank you.

Excellent

Amazing! We saw 51 different animals in 10 days! Everyone should go to Africa at least once. And if you do, I would highly recommend you do it with G Aventures!

7 days safari - excellent

We have been contacted by the tour organizer, Gabriel, the day before the trip started. We then met our driver and the cook the day after to start off to Tarangire. I can highly recommend the trip since we have seen lots of animals, especially in Serengeti. Our driver knew the animals and had interesting stories to tell about them. The food was good either. We had someone joining after the first 3 days, so that we were three people in the jeep which was comfortable at any time.

The actual trip and guides were very good. Our lead guide appeared very quiet and didn’t join us for meals and was a bit allusive, but as a knowledgeable, experienced, competent guide excellent. Explore as a company I will not be using again or recommending, as very slow to reply to questions and limited kit list information and no training schedule for such a massive endeavour, which other companies provide as a matter of course. When asked, was told they are just an agent and there is plenty of information on the internet regarding that. Not helpful at all. However, staff in Tanzania were very curious, friendly and helpful. Actual Experience in Tanzania and group amazing. Group also discussed that it would’ve been good to have been able to discuss things with each other before the trip started . Explore said this was not possible to set up a WhatsApp group and just dismissed it

Tips for Tanzania Camping Adventure

  • Avoid camping in Tanzania during the wet season, between March and May.
  •  Pack all the essential gear for a camping safari in Tanzania, including a good head torch, mosquito repellent, and a field guidebook to identify the Tanzanian animal and bird species.
  • Bring power banks to charge your cameras and mobile phones, as some remote campsites in Tanzania may experience power supply shortages.
  • Consider heating water on your camping stove if you are not accustomed to taking cold showers, as most camping sites in Tanzania do not have water heaters.
  • Store all food and snacks in sealed containers to avoid attracting wildlife to your campsite.
