Kilimanjaro Climb: 6 Days Marangu Route

The Marangu route is perhaps the easiest and most comfortable route to reach the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's tallest peak. We will pick you up from your accommodation in Arusha and drive you to Marangu Gate. From there you follow the trail that takes you to the top of the mountain via Mandara, Horombo and Kibo huts. The route is well-developed and the climb is constant and of moderate intensity. The only portion that is quite demanding is the approach to the summit. However, you also have the option of adding a day for acclimatization at an additional amount if you want to. The advantage of this route is that kiosks selling mineral water bottles, soft drinks, chocolates and beers are available in camp sites throughout the climb. 7 days safari - excellent

We have been contacted by the tour organizer, Gabriel, the day before the trip started. We then met our driver and the cook the day after to start off to Tarangire. I can highly recommend the trip since we have seen lots of animals, especially in Serengeti. Our driver knew the animals and had interesting stories to tell about them. The food was good either. We had someone joining after the first 3 days, so that we were three people in the jeep which was comfortable at any time.

I was happy that I chose to do the Lemosho route on Kilimanjaro with Explore. The hiking was very pleasant through the different climate zones, we had a compatible and friendly group and a wonderful support team. We all summited and stayed healthy throughout the trip.
