Ultimate Italy

Anna was the perfect concierge operator for our Ultimate Italy tour: highly professional, experienced and knowledgeable, kind and thoughtful, and completely fluent in English and Italian. The itinerary was excellent in providing a diverse and well-balanced exposure to the key locations in Italy and important site-seeing, art, culture, museums, churches, food, beverages (and the best gelato anywhere). Luxury Gold was very good about some issues with one hotel. We really enjoyed our fellow travelers. Just one caveat. This tour, in order to provide a comprehensive experience, includes some early morning starts, pretty full daily schedules, and some later dinners (as well as some independent times). That pace didn't seem like a problem for our group and our average age was probably about 55 or 60. But for anyone seeking a more leisurely experience, you might consider a resort. On the other hand, if you really want to know Italy, this tour is an excellent choice!

Anna is a great tour concierge! Very professional, caring, thoughtful, and detailed. You will be lucky to have Anna as your tour operator. I enjoyed the other people traveling on the tour and I have many wonderful memories.

As first time visitors to Italy, this was an excellent tour. We were able to cover a lot of ground and visit the major iconic sites during this trip. It was great knowing that all of the details of tickets to the sites, transportation, and transfers between hotels and locations was cared for so that we didn't need to worry about a thing. Our travel concierge, Anna, was excellent and extremely knowledgable and organized which made our trip even more enjoyable. We also felt that the small group size of 24 travelers made for a more intimate experience and enabled us to access sites and experiences with greater ease.

This was a wonderful trip, your tour concierge, Anna, was terrific - very knowledgeable about the destinations and local tours, attentive to the group and each individual. On the whole, the locations and hotels were well-selected. I was disappointed that we didn't go to Sorrento and the Amalfi coast, however Capri was lovely. The hotel in Florence, while conveniently located and with lovely public areas, had poor guestroom accommodations for the level of this tour. We were disappointed that we could not experience Cinque Terra,, however, the Excelsior in Rapallo was exceptional and Anna did more to made up for the change in plans. A second night in the Excelsior and one less in Florence would be nice. In all a memorable trip!

Excellent comprehensive tour of Italy. Great itinerary including guided visits to all the major tourist sites with numerous cultural and dining experiences which were well coordinated. The Capri, Tuscany, Cinque Terra, Rapallo, and Venice experiences were outstanding. Our tour guide was phenomenal. A true professional. Highly recommend this tour.

Nice overview of many of the regions of Italy. Our guide, was amazing and made the trip so fun and enjoyable. She also worked tirelessly to make sure every detail was perfect. She coordinated all of the logistics at each city we stayed in and everything ran smoothly. I will only travel with a guide and Luxury Gold on future trips!!! The tour was excellent.

I really like the places we went. Each city had something special to see. Everything was arranged for us, and it made it very easy, even for an older person .

Luxury Gold and , our guide, are outstanding. We covered a lot of territory and saw amazing things. knowledge was extensive and delivered in a very relatable way. The bus was clean and comfortable and accommodation was lovely. Food was delicious. The other guides who took care of us at various locations were really informative and engaging.

Our Host made the trip much more than sightseeing. Her depth of knowledge throughout the trip was astonishing

Extremely great overview of Italy. At times, felt a bit rushed with the itinerary, but really hard to criticize given the amount of places and locations that we visited. ,, our host was absolutely outstanding. We literally worried about nothing other than showing up when we were supposed to. Would absolutely recommend this trip to anybody.

Ultimate describes this itinerary perfectly. I felt like I was able to really experience Italy and all its beauty and splendor. Our guide was exceptional. Her expertise and the caring way she took care of us really made the trip perfect. The hotels, the locations, the special excursions designed to experience the regions were marvelous and again, exceptional and I so appreciated the local expert guides who shared their passion and knowledge. “Ultimate Italy” far exceeded what I hoped would be a trip of a lifetime for it definitely was a trip to remember and to cherish.

Itinerary was a good balance of seeing guided locations and having free time on our own.

Absolutely fantastic. The tour provided an amazing experience.

The tour from day one to day end was amazing. Far exceeded our expectations in every aspect. Belinda our tour director was superb….if there were any problems we didn’t know about it. She was extremely knowledgeable…..well versed in the history surrounding our sights…..exhibited a true passion for the beauty of Italy and its jewels of architecture, art, sculpture. She was intimate with every city and location we visited….knew the best places to go, shop eat…helped us find our way….and from the first moment she met us, made us feel so much at home. The trip was hassle free…..loved every minute…did not want it to end….loved the sights and the food and the wine and the shopping….learning so much….a perfect balance of directed tours and being on our own. We wanted to get a feel for the culture….not just see the sights…and we more than did that. The Hotels all five star….and several truly out of a storybook they were so fabulously appointed….and the views….amazing…. We got to see a lot of the landscape in Italy…..what a beautiful country…..great weather…..the itinerary was perfect…the right amount of time at every stop…and a great group….the trip felt magical… Some nice surprises provided by the Tour…special baked goods on the bus after coming from Capri…..some nice stops for coffee and baked goods at various times….loved listening to the music at the Plaza in Venice… The dinner at the Machiavellian Estate was super special….and that night our group truly became a “family.” So special. My wife and I have traveled extensively throughout our lives…..and this by far was the crown jewel of all our travel’s. It was a brisk pace, which we loved. Not wasting a moment of our time to learn, grow and enjoy Italy in so many ways. Thanks so much

Not 8 miles walking one day in Rome That is way too much walking for us old people.

The itinerary was packed but never overdone. The activities were varied, not just walking tours to see the sights. We ate, we sampled wine, we cooked, we watched artisans at work, we boated & rode the rails. Never a boring moment!

My partner and myself found the tour of Italy absolutely perfect. Our tour guide was so professional with her knowledge and detail she was just brilliant. Our bus driver was also great really, his handling of the bus and some very tight places was incredible .
