Experience the grandeur of Paris and the lush Seine Valley on this eight-day guided cycling and barge adventure. Starting and ending in Paris, pedal through royal forests, medieval villages, and past the spectacular Fontainebleau Chateau, all while your floating hotel awaits at each day’s end. The trip is ideal for mature explorers who appreciate a balance of city lights, historic sights, and countryside tranquility. The USP of this tour package is the combination of expert guidance, regal landscapes, and the unique comfort of exploring France by both bike and barge.

Day 1Embarkation in Montargis mid-afternoon, evening walk to explore the town

Day 2Explore Montargis and surrounds by bike (45km/28mi)

Day 3Cruise to the lock of Cepoy, cycle to Neronville (39 or 46km/24 or 28mi)

Day 4Visit the Abbey of St Severin, continue to Nemours (29 or 43km/18 or 26mi)

Day 5Cycle in the Loing Valley en route to Moret-sur-Loing (32 or 43km/19 or 26mi)

Day 6Cycle through the forests and visit the Chateau of Fointainbleau (40km/25mi)

Day 7Cycle along the Seine river, then cruise to Paris (31km/19mi)

Day 8Trip concludes in Paris

Accommodation

7 nights accommodation aboard a Comfort category barge in a cabin with ensuite facilities on a twin share basis. The compact cabins are configured with twin lower beds.

Meals

7 breakfasts, 6 picnic lunches, 6 dinners (does not include drinks) Continental breakfasts are served and will usually consist of breads, cheese, ham, tea, coffee & juices. At breakfast you will prepare your packed lunch for the day which will be sandwiches, fruit & juice. Dinner will consist of three courses inclusive of either a pasta, vegetarian or meat dish.
