Let the sun-drenched landscapes of Southern France inspire you on the 'Highlights of Provence by Bike' tour. This easy-paced, 8-day self-guided cycling trip is ideal for seniors and experienced travelers seeking vibrant culture and gentle activity. Pedal through Uzes, Arles, Avignon, and beyond, exploring world heritage sites like the Papal Palace and Pont du Gard, wandering moorlands of the Camargue, and marveling at ancient Roman ruins. Provence’s unique light and rich colors have long drawn artists, and you’ll see why as you ride past lavender fields, vineyards, and traditional villages. The trip’s special appeal: the perfect combination of history, art, and natural beauty, wrapped into a leisurely bicycle tour.
The Highlights of Provence Bike trip was a good route through a variety of landscapes with overnights stays in towns very rich in history and perfect for exploring. I would recommend staying at least two nights in each one to make sure you have time to fully experience them. I appreciated having a choice of routes on the second day, as I found cycling on the Via Rhona less interesting. The app for guiding us was a bit buggy and it drained my phone battery if I left it on. Our bikes were delivered a little late on day 1, but worked well and were great to ride. The tool kit provided did not include a proper size wrench for taking the wheel off the bike when we had a flat tire, but otherwise the equipment was great.
Beautiful scenery, a bike tour is a great way to see Provence.
We had a great time cycling the Provence region. Overall the accommodation was adequate.
Loved everything about our trip. Great hotels and bikes. The route was well planned, hardly any main roads.
Bikes were excellent in as new condition and the GUIBO map system was very easy to navigate.
