Excellent tour director and local tour guides
I choose all the optional experiences. Although the cost was an additional expense, I’m very happy I did it. I saw everything I wanted and then some. Everything was well organized. The days were full and sometimes exhausting, but I am so glad I got to experience it.
All was great except certain restaurant and all hotel selections. Hotels were 30 minutes from sights in each city. Ubers were expensive going back and forth during down time and no hotel had a pool. We also could not change clothes without a massive interruption to our plans. We also didn’t like how the menus were chosen at the restaurants offered. My kids had allergies and had to accept alternatives that were not very accommodating.
This was an amazing experience. I loved everything about the tour from the history to the beautifulness of everywhere we went. I also really liked our tour guide and driver they both made the experience that much better. I would recommend this tour to everyone.
Very enjoyable trip. Loved Pete, our travel director, and Vincenzo, our driver.
It was a very fun itinerary filled with delightful surprises along the way.
It was an amazing trip. We loved our tour director . He was a wealth of information. Loved that we had two nights at each stop
Lots of beautiful memories were made visiting the sights of Rome, Venice, Florence and Paris.
Sometimes felt rushed. No bathrooms on coach. All but one hotel was excellent. ********** was an awesome director. Pascuale was an awesome driver.
This is a great itinerary if you're looking to visit a number of locations. We were able to visit 3 different countries and a range of places in Italy. Most of the other tours we looked into focused on one country. Since this was our first time to Europe, we were looking for a breadth of locations.
Time is the most valuable asset and Trafalgar makes the most of your time! We didn't wait in lines. Dining experiences were planned for our arrival. Experts took us on tours through the cities and knew how and when to avoid crowds! Being driven from place to place by someone that knew where we going to sight see, the hotel was or we were going to eat. Our main tour guide felt like family. She made the trip so special with her insights! We were able to see and experience way more by being on this tour than if we were going on our own!!! Highly recommend
This tour was excellent. , our guide, kept us well informed and on time. The pace set was acceptable for everyone.
What a great trip! Trafalgar did an amazing job picking the destinations and the optional experiences. Johnathon, our Travel Director made the experience so much richer with his incredible knowledge and humor.
Very hectic, but very enjoyable
Found it good we covered so many icons in a short space of time, having 2day places was good as is tiring but worth it
We got to see and experience a lot during our trip. The cities that we stayed in were amazing. Getting to visit Sienna and Pisa was also wonderful, if brief. The restaurants we were taken to as part of the tour were mostly good, but the villa in Florence allowed a dog to roam around the tables as we ate, and that was uncomfortable. The hotels we stayed at were nice and the breakfasts that were included were very good. Our guide was helpful, but a bit impatient; she made it known that she was asked to do the trip last minute.
Our Tour Director was excellent as was our driver , we visited 6 different countries in 11 days, would definitely use Trafalgar tours again.
Full on tour to get the maximum travel and site seeing in hours available. Great way to visit a variety of countries all on the same tour.
Travel Director was fantastic. Much experience and knowledge of the areas and attractions. Kept our group on track to ensure maximum experience time. This was a great trip, great group of travelers. , our coach driver was very professional, courteous, and a top driver!
You make everything so easy and we feel like you have our backs. We go places and see things with no hassle to park or find a hotel. We would never attempt to travel to these places on our own at our age. We have used Trafalgar twice and had great experiences both times.
It was amazing. For first time traveler’s it was fantastic. We got to see everything that we wanted to. I think what really made it was our unbelievable tour director ************. His knowledge and charisma made everyone feel so welcomed and valued. I would also like to mention our driver Pierpaolo his skills as a driver were phenomenal. He always greeted us with a smile. I would definitely recommend Trafalgar Tours to friends and family. We have now made friends with some wonderful people that were on our tour as well. Thank you for making a dream come true.
It was my first time in Europe and the 3 countries that I visited with my family was awesome! Italy, Switzerland and France were Bar None! The Countryside, historical buildings, monuments, the people, the culture was amazing. What a joyful experience! Such a highlight for year 2025 and we as a family plan to do it again next year in 2026!
Great trip & was a Great Tour Director
We visited many places and full of excitement but the tourist director was always in stress, moody, and not friendly. The 5 dinners that were included were cafeteria styles and as we were in high school. I prefer we have our own choice of restaurants. My other trip experience with Trafalgar in 2024 with the other tourist director was excellent as she was approachable, friendly, and problem solving.
Excellent tour director () and fantastic driver (). Lots of good meals and tours. Did several optional tours, which were all great. Most hotels were as expected for a quality travel organisation.
It was amazing, period! All the bucket list items and hotspots were hit. Hardest part is the long drive from Lucerne to Paris. Would have been nice to get a day or two in the French countryside.
I thought the 12 day trip (-2 days traveling and 10 days touring) was just the perfect length of a trip. The Italy trip with a quick stop off in Lucerne, Switzerland and Paris, France was an excellent introduction to our first time travelers in our group. I loved that we hit all the major sites within each town /or stop-off, and the coach bus traveling was a breeze and very relaxing. Also, traveling in this region in May was a bonus because the weather was very pleasant and the crowds were minimal and easy to deal with.
This is the perfect trip to see a bit of Italy & Paris with a couple of nights in Switzerland thrown in. A bit of driving on a couple of days but worth it to see everything we did.
Hotel, sub par. breakfast were terrible. Have to use real eggs for scrambled. I worked in hospitality industry and know the difference. Also they don't cook the bacon enough, first hotel bacon was raw strips. First included dinner boiled chicken was served, boiled chicken! It was awful. We paid for the trip ahead of time, once we made it to our location, Rome first, everything is now extra charges. Colosseum, David, day tour, all extra charges, seriously! We were fortunate enough that we could handle it. As the trip went on, everything is extra. If you didnt pay you were on your own. Switzerland beautiful but extra for a horse ride farm tour, really!? Some attractions I understand would be extra, but everything every day is too much. Walking tours should not be extra charges imo. We did the Portugal Spain tour a couple years ago with as our tour guide. That trip was excellent. The way it should be. Good breakfast, great local tours that were not extra charges.
The European Splendour tour was wonderful. It was good to stay two nights at each major city so that we could have a full day to explore the city. There was variety in the cities, Rome, of the Ancient World, Florence of the Renaissance, Venice exceptionally unique, Lucerne with its majestic views and Paris, the city of splendours. Our Tour Director, was so kind. She went out of her way to help and guide people, was very efficient and made the tour come alive with her extensive knowledge of the history and culture of the places we visited. , our driver, always calm and affable, drove us carefully yet we always made good time. With the tour we were able to do things we would normally not have the opportunity to do. In Venice, an optional extra was going on a gondola ride. Not only did we go on a gondola but we were also taken on a boat ride down the Grand Canal. It was splendid. In my free time I was able to visit the Doge's Palace and walk across the Bridge of Sighs into another world, the prisons. This is a wonderful tour, made more so by the and a great bunch of people.
We enjoyed our trip. Very fast paced. Definitely packed a lot of activities into each day.
was great Accommodation in Rome not good - showers didn’t work properly
We loved this itinerary. We were able to see so much. The included hotels and restaurants were very nice. was the best tour guide and made the trip spectacular..
The tour was very organized and we enjoyed our Travel Director.
Touched all the high points; great guides wherever we went.
It was a great trip, but a little rushed. We had some wonderful weather and not included dinner experiences. (Extra charge, but worth it!) Julie H. Was a wonderful, caring and helpful Travel Director. The bus driver, Fortunato, was great, as well. Very helpful. Beautiful scenery and experiences. Sadly, due to my own stupidity, my purse and iPhone, (USD and EUROS) drivers license, travel papers. Even my passport card (passport was safe in the safe in our room!). We did find the purse in a trash bin - empty, and one credit card that had my picture on it. We had each other’s phones on “My Find” so were able to track it. It seemed to be in a corner of a park in a unmaintained area overgrown with underbrush, including stinging nettles! We were NOT going to rummage through that. But in spite of that, I still had a wonderful experience and highly recommend this tour to anyone who doesn’t have money or time for this 11 day tour.
Just arrived back from our tour. We had the most wonderful time due to our amazing guide Julie. She made sure everyone had what they needed and amended items so that we utilised our time effectively as it just so happened that we were there for the Pope’s passing and several public holidays across the countries we visited. I would suggest you do all optional extras for nights out, excursions and so on as it added to the fun of the tour without any hassles. They cost about the same as what you would pay for dinner anyway. Would have loved another day in Switzerland as it was just so beautiful. Loved we had extra time in Paris too or this would not have been enough either. Being coeliac, breakfasts were not all that extravagant compared to the rest of the crew and what they were offered. Italy was excellent for gluten free but some language barriers in France made it trickier but I did always have something. As long as you are aware of this beforehand it’s ok. Will certainly recommend for others to do our tour. Totally amazing with loads of laughs and amazing memories made that will last a lifetime.
A fabulous tour, our director ************ made our tour very special for all of us, lot’s of laughs & good fun. We had a wonderful time with our companions on the tour. Can’t speak highly enough of our tour director Julie & our bus driver Fortuniso, they made our trip run smoothly every day, lot’s of information about every place we visited & every country. Will definitely take another Trafalgar tour in the near future
The Tour Guide made the trip. She effectively got us to everything on the agenda with pre knowledge so we knew what we were looking at. It is a great series of locations, of course you could spend a week at either Rome or Paris. With a tour guide like . you will maximize every minute. We got up early and beat the crowds. The local guides were extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. She taught us how to navigate the customs of each country. There was no problem she could not solve. She pulled us together as a group so we looked out for each other.
