Well planned, thoughtful attractions with good selection of optional tours. As well we had an exceptional tour director and coach driver! There simply was no issue, big or small they could not resolve!
It was an 11 day whirlwind tour of the country of Portugal- saw the country from north to south and east to west! I enjoyed seeing the major tourist attractions, as well as the local experiences that Trafalgar offered.
Tour guide Scott did a great job keeping everyone engaged in the tournament
Fantastic trip traveling throughout beautiful Portugal. Trip was greatly enhanced by our knowledgeable tour director, Pedro Pinta. He is one of a kind!.
The tour guide, ***********, was outstanding. He is a true ambassador for Portugal with an in depth knowledge of the history and culture. There is so much to see in this beautiful country, but I think the Itinerary stops are excellent choices with just the right amount of time to get a taste of the historic importance of each site.
It is very interesting but also very busy with alot of walking that could make it a challenge for those with mobility issues -we have to leave the coach and walk to our hotel and then back the next morning and in order to get to the where we got on the boat for our cruise in Porto the coach was not. able to get to the harbour so people had to walk down a steep hill- again difficult for people with mobility issues, and after the cruise in order to get back on land we had to step up a high step to get on the deck of another boat to get on land.I don't feel that alot of this is the fault of Trafalgar BUT I think once these issues were known the people on the trip should have been informed in advance.
A bit too busy
The trip covered every aspect of the country, from popular tourist attractions to small country towns, really loved the sites scenery and the people! Our guide Jake was super, very knowledgeable and approachable, and the local guides were very insightful and knowledgeable. We really loved this tour and made many new friends,
Way too much crammed into each day and little time to truly enjoy any of it. The tour guide was a nice enough man but personally I feel he’s more suited to a younger group. I have enjoyed my other travel with Trafalgar but this one was a disappointment.
