Spend a full day at leisure in Tamarindo, a beautiful corner of the tropics. There are several optional tours which you may choose from or simply relax on the beach. Tamarindo Beach is part of a bay formed by a cape, Cabo Velas, and Playa Grande lie to the north of the city inside the bay. The two beaches are separated by the largest mangrove estuary in Central America, Estero de Tamarindo. South of Tamarindo lies another beautiful estuary, Estero de San Francisco, and the magnificent Playa Langosta. These beaches and estuaries are part of Las Baulas National Park.

Guanacaste province offers you a great variety of beaches and hot spots. The best way you know the most important places in one day is taking the beach tour, where we can visit flamingo beach, a nice area with white sand and big development. We also can visit Playa Grande, a huge and beautiful beach where the turtles get each year to lay their eggs on the sand. We pass around Tamarindo Beach, the perfect spot for those who would like to learn how to surf. One of the most beautiful places we go is Conchal beach, this white sand beach is the best option for taking some time and do snorkeling at its pristine waters full of color fish.

The hydrologic characteristics of the Tempisque River has created conditions to form these international important wetlands ecosystem (Ramsar site). Palo Verde National park it is an exceptional place for birdwatchers and nature lovers in general, a two hours’ boat trip will introduce us into these important ecosystem, gigantic crocodiles, monkeys, iguanas and more wildlife that you ever imagined may be spotted. Great bird-watchers’ prizes can show up, such as the Jabiru, osprey, the white ibis, tiger herons, and scarlet macaws amongst others. After the boat tour we will head to a rustic place to have a delicious typical lunch and close this wonderful excursion with a delicious culinary experience.
