Costa Rica Tours in October 2027

This was an exceptional trip, The itinerary, pace and tour leader made it one of my best trips yet, The only thing that distracted from this was the Whitewater rafting. This was included within the itinerary and the company had set an age limit of 65 for those who rafted on the main river. There was no discussion, If you were over 65 you went on a river, more like a stream which for me was a total waste of time. So people over 65, fit and with rafting experience were relegated to a small river whilst others with no experience rafted the main river. Rafting company nonsense rules. Would have been better if the company took notice of fitness and experience or allowed people to sign a disclaimer.

I did this trip in September 2025 and this is by far the best one I have done so far. This trip shows you how diverse the country is with its different ecosystems and wildlife. From the Caribbean coast over to the Pacific. Everywhere you look there is an abundance of wildlife from the colourful birds and larger mammals/primates right down to the tiny frogs and leaf cutter ants.

The whole trip to Costa Rica with Explore was a memorable experience. Our guide Diego and coach driver Jose looked after us with care and their enthusiasm to make sure we saw as much wildlife, plantlife and scenery as possible has given us many memorable moments

Best trip I have ever been on (and I've traveled a lot). Perfect for anyone who loves a mix of fun adventure, gorgeous beaches, delicious food, and the most amazing friendships!

Ten days of fun and adventure while meeting new people is always a great experience. Locations where we stayed were good, activities were wonderful and the staff was amazing. 10 out of 10.

Our tour leader was excellent and really made the holiday! The itinerary was jam packed and I felt we got the absolute most out of our time, despite not being very restful!
