This was a fantastic trip - our group saw the Big 5 in one day! So much wildlife and baby animals to spot in August, and the climate was comfortable. Be warned that you will join an established group halfway through their trip which can make it difficult to break into the friendships. Overall, a fantastic experience!

This trip was more than anything I could have dreamed! I knew I was in for a ride, but the way Contiki laid it out and had us on our way was top-notch! I would do it all over again in a heartbeat! The group experience was also very positive—although, as always, there were some members who were not fully satisfied with every activity, overall the group was supportive and brought great energy. I recently joined the Contiki Cape to Delta Safari, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The itinerary was packed with incredible wildlife encounters, stunning landscapes, and once-in-a-lifetime opportunities. Our guide, was phenomenal—extremely knowledgeable, approachable, and always ready to help. He went above and beyond to make sure everyone was comfortable, informed, and getting the most out of the journey. Another highlight was the amazing third-party partners Contiki worked with along the way. From safari operators to local guides, every collaboration felt seamless and added so much authenticity and richness to the trip. You can really tell they’ve built strong relationships with the best people in each region. The only downside was our time at Victoria Falls. As breathtaking as the falls are, we unfortunately only had about 40 minutes to enjoy them. Because some of the group opted for bridge activities, the rest of us had to wait and ended up feeling rushed through the experience. It would be much better if those not participating in bridge activities were able to head to the falls earlier, giving everyone enough time to fully appreciate one of the natural wonders of the world. Overall, this trip was absolutely incredible and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a mix of adventure, wildlife, and culture in Southern Africa. With just a little more time at Victoria Falls, it would have been perfect.
