Cape Town Tours and Holidays

The capital of South Africa and one of the world’s most recognisable cities, Cape Town - or the Mother City as it is often known - is a cacophony of cultures that has worked hard to establish peaceful coexistence. Nowadays Christians, Muslims and Hindus rub shoulders with the traditional African practices that are indigenous to South Africa. After a turbulent past, every culture and lifestyle is accepted as a key ingredient to Cape Town’s unique flavour. The result of such an inclusive atmosphere? A creative freedom that has painted the city in every colour and pattern imaginable. From the natural wonders of Table Mountain to the local goods of Bay Harbour Market, holidays to Cape Town is a feast for the senses.

This trip was everything we hoped for and more. The itinerary was fast paced and sometimes meant a lot of time on the bus, but it was worth it to be able to see and do so much. I'd recommend this trip to everyone.

We had great and unique lodging and food, great excursions, and knowledgeable guides and leaders! Overall we were well cared for and shown a good time. A few of the days we were stuck on the bus or van for almost all of the day, and while there were brief stops to break this up it still felt like we were seeing South Africa from afar instead of experiencing it on these days. If there is a way to tweak the schedule for less bus time that would improve this tour.

The trip was amazing was incredible and really knowledgeable about his home. All the game drivers were lovely and had amazing knowledge as well! The downfalls, basically the whole trip were add ons. Not alot was included, eswatini dinner was frustrating as we had no other option so we had to buy dinner there and believe it should have been included.

I can’t put into words how incredible the Southern Africa safari was. From start to finish, it was better than I could have expected. Seeing the big 5 in their natural habitat was a highlight. Every game drive brought something new and unforgettable, the beauty of the landscapes and all of the wildlife sightings made every moment feel surreal. Jesse the trip manager made the trip what it was, so knowledgeable, organised, and genuinely passionate about wildlife and culture. He took care of every detail, so we could completely enjoy the journey. From sharing interesting facts and stories during long drives to accomodating everyone’s needs made the whole adventure seamless and special. Cant thank the time and effort he put into this trip enough. The most unexpected gift of this safari was the incredible group of fellow travelers I met along the way. Sharing these weeks with such amazing people, now lifelong friends, was something I never saw coming, but will forever treasure. While i truly enjoyed the overall safari experience and appreciated the efforts of the team, i felt that a few of the game drives, given their significance to the experience, would have been better included as part of the main package rather than offered as optional add-ons. Including them upfront would have provided a more seamless and complete safari experience.

Although some of the bus rides between attractions can be lengthy, they are well worth it. Our tour guide was the best we've had on any tour, giving us details about all aspects of the areas we passed through, including the culture, geography, economy, and nature of each region. From the animals in Kruger National Park to Table Mountain in Cape Town to beaches and beautiful hotels, this was one of our best trips ever.

Bianca is an exceptional tour leader and extremely well organised so our trip ran very smoothly ... full of fun, knowledge and laughter. We had a brilliant trip made even more so as Bianca always went the extra mile for each of us, both jointly and individually, at every opportunity. She is obviously held in high affection by all the contacts at each location. A truly memorable trip, possibly the best I have been on with Explore.
