South Africa Tours in Winter

This was my first trip with G Adventures, but definitely not my last! I felt incredibly comfortable and welcomed, and I’m leaving with wonderful memories of both the journey and the amazing group I got to share it with.

This trip was an incredible and unforgettable experience, giving me a great impression of Namibia and South Africa. Everything was well-organized, from the accommodations to the food, and I felt safe throughout the journey. I met amazing people along the way, and both Peter, our driver, and Johannes, our guide, made the trip even better—Peter ensured a smooth and secure ride, while Johannes impressed with his leadership, knowledge, and cooking skills. I especially appreciated the Classic Standard format, which offered a more comfortable and mature travel experience. Overall, it was a fantastic adventure, and I would highly recommend it.

If you are thinking of taking this Journeys trip in Southern Africa, I am absolutely recommending this to anyone interested in a very comfortable trip packed with once in a lifetime memories. From the unforgettable safaris and up close encounters with the wild animals, the amazing scenery in Victoria Falls, to the excellent lodging, transportation, and most especially to our amazing and very knowledgeable tour guide in Deone. This trip is unforgettable and is definitely a 10 out of 10! Every dollar spent was absolutely worth it and more. You won't regret taking this trip!

I've been solo traveling for the last 9 months and chose this tour with G Adventures as my grand finale and I'm so happy that I did. Our CEOs were so knowledgable and helpful that I felt like my brain was off for half of the month. Every day holds some sort of fun adventure without the usual work that comes along with most travel because those logistics are being taken care of for you. In my option, there is not better way to overland Southern Africa than this tour. We got to see things and go places that we never would have been able to go to on our own. It was such a wonderful experience.

This was a really packed holiday with plenty opportunities to see wildlife, learn about the history and current events in the areas visited. Although long distances were travelled some days there were breaks to see local markets, glass factory and local crafts. The scenery was spectacular with time for walking, exploring and swimming in the Ocean There was the chance to opt in to additional excursions or to just chill The guides were all excellent- very good at spotting the wildlife and with a wide breadth of knowledge Our tour leader was especially good at keeping us organised and informed in a relaxed and fun manner Accommodation was an interesting mixture of eco villages but all with comfortable beds and en suite facilities

I had the best time traveling with Francois and Eddie through the south of Africa. I especially loved Namibia. I would defenetly recommend doing the Cape Town to Jo'burg tour!
