A full on trip which maximised our time in South Africa. A really good balance of cultural insights, scenery and wildlife. This wouldn't have been possible without our super guide Christian. He knew how to keep us safe, was resolutely positive and energetic, and made the trip. There was a lot of driving which we knew about when we booked. If we had more annual leave available, we would have booked an extra night in Capetown at the end. This would have enabled us to book both a Robben Island excursion, and a Cape of Good Hope trip. We are very glad that we booked this trip.
This was an excellent tour that never disappointed. While the tour was rated full on and we were busy, it never felt rushed or pressured. It definitely lives up to it's name, a great representation of the variety that is South Africa.
Great trip, hotels were beautiful good food and a great tour guide! I stayed on in Cape Town for a few days moving to Camps Bay to have a few beach days before heading home which was perfect and would recommend
This tour of South Africa was amazing, I definitely recommend. It wasn't too full on, there was time to relax, but still got to see so much. There are a lot of long drives, but we did cover a lot of South African Starting in Johannesburg, Port Elizabeth and ending in Cape Town. The 2 day Safari was brilliant. However it can get very cold on the Safari make sure you have plenty of layers on, I made the mistake of not wearing enough clothes and got very cold. Although seeing so many different animal's and birds was mesmerising. Zip lining in the rainforest was great fun, although an extra, I was so glad I did it. The whale watching was amazing lots of whales and we even saw the calf with its mother. This was also extra but definitely worth doing. The Penguins colony, also great. The views from the coach of the Garden Route were stunning. Cape Town Harbour is lovely so much going on and a great choices of food to choose from. I would recommend booking extra nights in Cape Town, there isn't enough time to see and do everything in Cape Town. Table Top Mountain was amazing I felt like I was in the clouds. Going to Robin Island for me it was a must do, seeing were Nelson Mandela was imprisoned and listening to a former political prisoner tell his story was very emotional. I would have loved to had 2 or 3vextra days in Cape Town Most of the hotels we stay in were beautiful. I loved this tour.
A great trip through South Africa. Highlights were the wildlife in Kruger NP, the crashing waves on the coast and the penguins and whales. Also a bit of history and culture in Cape Town.
South Africa is stunning, mountains are stunning beautiful beaches, and incredible wildlife. Food is delicious and people are friendly. Be prepared for excursions to be cancelled, Table Top Mountain -cable car and Robben Island, due to the high winds. Would have preferred less time in Knysna and Hermanus , 2 days in each place is far too much with nothing to do.. No whales, out of season and no alternatives is questionable Explore could consider more days in Cape Town and less days in places with nothing to do. My guide Christian was fantastic throughout, he gave an honest account of the history and culture of South Africa. Overall, this was a wonderful experience.
