Kruger National Park Tour Reviews
Guest reviews from travelers on tours in and around Kruger National Park
This truly was a South Africa highlights tour. We saw the big 5 in Kruger, whales at Hermanus, penguins, coastline, Table Mountain.....the list is endless. We had an amazing guide, Tshepo, who was a fount of knowledge, always helpful and in a good humour. I would definitely recommend this trip.
Kruger National Park was absolutely awesome. We were near the end of the dry season, so everything was dusty, but animals were everywhere. We literally saw thousands of Impalas, hundreds of Elephants, Giraffes, Zebras, and many, many Lions, Water buffalo, elands, Kudus, Hippos, plus lots more. We took in all of the excursion extras, and were very pleased. Our group of 4 would give this trip a Thumbs-Up. Accommodations were pleasant, guides were great, and safari equipment was in great condition.
I loved my trip and had the adventure of a lifetime! *personal info removed by Feefo* , our guide, was fantastic, friendly, fun, and very knowledgeable. We felt very well looked after. The locations and activities were incredible. I did almost everything, so I was exhausted, but it was all worth it for the experience. I had an amazing time.
I highly highly recommend this tour. South Africa was always a dream destination for me, and this trip made that dream come true in a big way, especially thanks to our guide, Eddie. We toured and learned the history of Cape Town and the Cape Peninsula (do this excursion!), had wine in Stellenbosch, watched whales at sunrise in Hermanus, explored the heavenly Tsitsikamma National Park, and were lucky enough to see the Big Five in one day in Kruger National Park.
I couldn’t recommend this trip more, it exceeded all of my expectations! It was genuinely the most present, joyful and fun two weeks I have had in the longest time. Our TM was so so fantastic and exceptional at his job - he made us feel so safe, relaxed and supported. This trip was such an adventure and I’d jump at the chance to visit all these places again! The itinerary was phenomenal - it is jam packed but you get to see so so much! Depending on the time of year you go, make sure to bring your electrolytes and a fan (we went in September and it gets HOT!). Also don’t expect a super clubbing/going out drinking itinerary, there is opportunity to do that occasionally but it is not the focus of this trip at all- this was actually a big draw for me and it was the perfect - think chilled evening/sunset beers. The accomodation was really lovely and way nicer than we expected. The camping special stays were also very comfortable and amazing experiences. You are in the bush so be prepared, there are insects, spiders etc. It can also get dusty on some of the game drives so bring a neck buff or silk scarf too. The water rafting is intense so only do it if you are into extreme activities. All the food was great and so cheap when comparing to what the AUD gets you at home. We didn’t have to worry about food safety once, everything was fresh and delicious. Also, Africa gets a bad wrap safety wise and as a young woman I had some pre-trip anxiety, but I felt really safe the entire time so please don’t let that stop you from booking a trip to Southern Africa.
A full on trip which maximised our time in South Africa. A really good balance of cultural insights, scenery and wildlife. This wouldn't have been possible without our super guide Christian. He knew how to keep us safe, was resolutely positive and energetic, and made the trip. There was a lot of driving which we knew about when we booked. If we had more annual leave available, we would have booked an extra night in Capetown at the end. This would have enabled us to book both a Robben Island excursion, and a Cape of Good Hope trip. We are very glad that we booked this trip.
