Contiki really do know how to put an incredible itinerary together, but the Africa Team takes this to a whole other level.
The Garden Route and Addo is such an immense blend of the culture, landscapes and adventure that make this specific region of South Africa special. From the rolling hills of award winning Cape Town wineries and the culinary melting pot of different cultures coming together, to the sprawling penguin colonies and incredible communities of the townships, no matter if you’re a diehard foodie, adrenaline nut, serious history enthusiast or animal whisperer, this trip really has everything you could ever ask South Africa for.
Special shout out to the TM Luke and driver Pete. If you’re fortunate enough to be in their presence, relish it, they are truly incredible individuals that encompass all what Contiki is about.
My only regret? Not booking the entire Sea Safari South Africa trip, if you can do it all, you must!

It was a wonderful trip, well planned but it just felt a bit rushed.. I wish we had a little more time to appreciate all the places that we went to. I feel like maybe a little more information about the varieties of cultures should be shared.
I quite liked how all the people on the group got on well and that we had some time to get to know each other with each free time activity.
I feel like with the FTA’s, if you take multiple or all the FTA’s that there should be a combo discount deal or even like if you are from that country and taking a trip with Contiki you should be offered an additional discount. Having another South African on the trip aside from the guide was refreshing and it made the trip feel more authentic because we were guided as to what the locals do and it seemed less like watching from the outside.
