About Victoria

Travel started for me from a very young age with my first memorable holiday to the Caribbean, where I realised that I desired nothing more than collecting incredible memories from far-flung destinations. Since 1999 I have been lucky enough to travel in luxury globally to countries such as Iceland, China, Ecuador and the Galapagos, Belize, India, Norway and Africa. My most memorable experiences in Africa include trekking to see the gorillas in Uganda, a walking safari in Zambia, swimming to the edge of Victoria Falls and walking with elephants in Botswana. Now as a Mum of two very small children aged 2 and 1, I am enjoying working for Wayfairer Travel keeping up to speed with the best places to travel around the world, focusing on the incredible wildlife and scenery in Africa, and quickly using my experience to arrange bespoke holidays for all my clients whether with children or travelling as a couple, with friends or solo.

Victoria's Expertise

I specialise in bespoke tailor-made journeys for couples, families, adventurers across much of Africa, with my specialist regions being Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and South Africa including Botswana and Zambia. I also have experience arranging worldwide travel across the globe, from North America and Canada, through to Central America, Costa Rica, Belize and Mexico, and down into South America, including Chile, Argentina, Peru, Ecuador and the Galapagos, having travelled to all of the above during my career. Not to mention China and Egypt, the Caribbean, Maldives, Indonesia, Australia and much closer to home Spain, France, Italy, Croatia, Montenegro, Turkey and the UAE. This year my travels will take me to Cape Town, Uganda, Turkey and the French Alps!

Best Travel Experience

One of my favourite experiences was trekking to see the gorillas in Uganada. It really gave me a sense of place on the Earth to meet these fantastic creatures and it made all the trekking just so worthwhile to get there. This experience is closely followed by walking with elephants in Botswana — such giant beasts and so gentle, with incredible eyelashes! One of my other wildlife favourites, although not in Africa, is swimming with whale sharks in Ningaloo Reef Western Australia, closely followed by riding in a sidecar of a motorbike for a city tour of Shanghai!

I am a very well-travelled and experienced travel consultant with an eye for detail. I am motivated to try and find a trip that is unique to my clients. I can work flexibly to accommodate clients' time zones and availability, and am happy to communicate by phone, email, WhatsApp, Skype, text - but a phone call is always our preferred way to start off so that we really get to know your requirements.
