I enjoyed this tour of Scotland. The stops were well-timed for stretching and potty breaks. The bus was comfortable and the driver was very experienced. It was such a relief to not have to drive, especially since there’s so much to see. I felt the time spent in each leg of the trip was good, although personally I could’ve skipped Glasgow (it’s not nearly as walkable nor enjoyable as Edinburgh). I enjoyed the daily stories aboard the bus about the history of Scotland. We didn’t participate in all the optional outings but the ones we chose, we enjoyed.

I thought the itinerary was very good. We did see quite a lot of Scotland. I enjoyed Edinburgh the best. There was so much history and the stone buildings and cobblestone sidewalks were beautiful. It was a very walkable city. The beach at St. Andrews was stunning. The scenery in the Highlands was stunning, even though the heather was not blooming. The landscape reminded me of Iceland with the snow-capped mountains, waterfalls and stark colors. I was disappointed in the Isle of Skye since we only went to the "tourist trap town". I would have like to see more of the island. The castles we saw were stunning and steeped in history. Glasgow was also incredible, but not very walkable. I'm glad that the bus dropped us off in the city center. The amount of shops and restaurants there was fantastic. Our food was kind of hit or miss. My wife and I are vegetarians, so we had some good meals included with the tour then we had some not so good meals. When we were left on our own to find food, we had no problem finding vegetarian food and it was all very good. Our tour director and bus driver were very good. Both of them had a great sense of humor and seemed to have a great rapport with one another. We had a lot of fun with them. I enjoyed the fact that we spent 2 days at a hotel instead of packing up every day.

I was quite anxious at the start but I went out of my comfort zone and I am so glad I did it! I miss my Contiki crew so much and could not recommend it more to my friends and family! The memories I made will be cherished forever

& were great! The free breakfast fuelled me well for most of the day — it made things cheaper by not having to seek out breakfast. The hotels were all ibis Hotels and all good.

I loved traveling together and being able to meet new people! Everyone was welcoming, and I made friends I am still in touch with. It was nice to have transportation and accommodations covered, as well as have an insider scoop on each city we visited.

I had a wonderful trip I got to meet some great people and see some amazing sights that I would have never seen on my own. I also received so much great information from my trip manager.
