Growing up in Aotearoa, my parents were always telling stories about their far-away travels, and I am sure this is where I caught the bug. Like my colleague William, I was a town planner. A transport planner to be precise. After working in humanitarian logistics around the world I moved to Europe and started the path to being a travel designer. I have worked on hundreds of trips each year since 2014, and gradually increased the number of countries and specialties. My motivation comes from being able to create a trip based on places I know and love and want to share. I have been proud to take inspiration from my summer vacation, a personal trip, or a family trip, and then create a custom trip for travellers a few months later. I'm motivated to bring on board great travellers and have them come back year after year.

The tour covers a lot of Scotland and provides a great overview of the country. If you want to spend a lot of time in one or 2 places, this is not the tour for you. Hard to pin down 1 favorite experience but the sheepdog demonstration on the sheep farm was amazing.
Wonderful more inside view of Scotland, especially in the Highlands.
The Collette Discover Scotland tour met and exceeded its title. The 9 days were packed with variety, information, comeradery, and beauty. Amber (the tour leader) provided the exact amount of direction and made us feel a part of the Scotland spirit and history. Starting at Glasgow, we made a look all the way up the west to Orkney Island it the North and back to Edinburgh on the southeast. Each stop and activity contributed a piece of the entire puzzle and gave each of us a chance to make the trip personal. The practicality of Glasgow, beauty of Isle of Skye, majesty of the Highlands, adventure of Skara Brae, the Standing stones, the solemnity of Culloden, the excitement of Inverness, and the ethos of Edinburgh built a wonderful kaleidoscope of emotion, sound, and spirit. The lodgings also provided a variety of historic grandeur, practical necessity, and modern convenience. One of my personal best moment was roaming the mist during the early morning at Loch Linnhe ... but there were many other unforgettable and cherished times.
Thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The sited we saw were incredible and Daz was amazing at adapting for the day's conditions and any little add on we could achieve. We had an awesome group of people, a top tour guide and the BEST time. I would recommend this tour to everybody. A great way to see the UK.
The Country Roads of Scotland is a beautiful tour, but our tour guide ruined it. I made known the fact that I was interested in Wick due to Heritage and found my Great Grandfather's house and wanted to walk there and also visit the Heritage Museum. He cut official stops, like Wick, to 45 minutes, but gave us two hours in a place that was not an official part of the tour. He played his music constantly -- either that or movies and videos at 8:00 a.m. Who does this? Only a narcissistic personality. He talked about himself more than anything. We rarely heard what we were driving through nor the arrival times of the official itinerary. There was too much time on the coach. I would never travel with Insight again.
