Disappointed that the weather didn't cooperate to go to the Orkney Isles, but loved being at Ballachulish and Castletown away from the big cities. Wished lunch stops were longer for eating and shopping the towns. Could have stayed all day at Dunrobin Castle as I enjoyed touring on my own, but didn't have time to cover all of it.

Beautiful land scapes, castles, & cities. A very rich and interesting history also. Our tour group was exceptional, we traveled with the nicest people and our tour guide LAURA was exceptional! It's hard to say what was my favorite part of the trip. We had a wonderful time. Colette leaves nothing unfinished. They take care of everything . Very few decisions need to be made aside from determining what you feel like eating at night!

My favorite experience was going to Orkney, seeing the Neolithic sites and feeling the wildness of the place… astonishing. Our guide was a wealth of information, helping us to really feel how hard existence was for these early inhabitants, as well as the more recent crofters. As a history buff, I loved all of the Jacobite sites and information.

Reasonably paced snapshot of Scotland Accomodation and included meals were excellent for this solo traveller The hotel in the Highlands was first class as was the meals provided there The Trafalar tour director Brooke was very informative - made the trip very enjoyable notwithstanding the stormy weather which neccessitated some changes to the schedule.

The Torphichen dinner was absolutely the best! Family style, singing, drinking, piping and cry-in-your-beer stories by Kenny. The next absolute best was Neal and the sheep station. Incredible dogs made the sheep dance ballet! Neal is a stitch! Warm and gruff showed how to hypnotize sheep in 5 seconds for shearing. Great story telling and dog training advice. I loved the experience of personally shearing sheep. Brooke the tour director was so much fun and accomodating, an absolute delightful person.

Overall, the tour provided a fantastic introduction to the stunning landscapes and rich history of Scotland. The itinerary was well-curated, offering a variety of stops that showcased the country’s charm and heritage. However, considering that these types of bus tours often cater to a senior demographic—with frequent stops for restrooms, meals, and shopping—it would be beneficial to allow more time at key historical and scenic locations. In particular, destinations such as St. Andrews, Culloden Battlefield, and Glencoe felt a bit rushed. Extending the duration at these sites would greatly enhance the experience, allowing guests to fully appreciate their significance and beauty through more leisurely exploration. Despite this, the tour was a memorable and enriching journey through one of the world’s most picturesque regions.
