Scotland 6-Day Tours and Trips

It was last minute decision for me. I booked the trip 2 weeks before going. It was a great experience. We got to see the Edinburgh castle, do whisky tasting, take a Loch Ness boat cruise and so much more! The weather was amazing, no rain. I would highly recommended this trip!

It is a great tour that helps US or Canada residents to either better understand North American life as lots of it came from Scotland, Ireland and England or to learn the roots of their ancestors.

The walk and barge Scotland was fantastic. One needs to be in quite good physical shape as the hills could be a challenge. You definitely need good comfortable hiking boots as some trails were rocky.

This trip gives a wonderful balance between walking, watching wild life and learning about the archaeology and history of the area. The Kirkwall hotel has a few quirks but is very convenient for shops, the cathedral, museum and with only a short stroll to the harbour front. Our guides, Marco and Ritchie, organised our large group superbly well, their passion for the islands making this trip truly memorable. Home now, I really miss the wide open spaces of the Orkneys and the company of our tour members!

G Adventures made a great trip perfect! They took care of everything, managed travel, accommodation, navigation, all the logistics; kept us on track, on time, communicated everything clearly, found wonderful places to stop and really introduced us to Scotland. A fantastic trip to Orkney. We were fortunate with the weather the first week in September and there were still some wildflowers, butterflies and birds around on our coastal walks. However, for me my main reason for visiting Orkney was for the archaeology. I am so pleased I got to see the oldest settlement and stone circle in the UK. It was so worth the visit.
