You will pass close to sombre Glencoe, famed for its massacre of the MacDonald Clan, and finishes at Fort William near the foot of Ben Nevis. The Back Roads tour was a great way of taking in a lot of the natural beauty of Scotland (highlands and the islands of the Inner Hebrides) as well as interesting aspects of Scottish history. Clara, the tour leader, gave a lot of attention to ensuring that all 11 members of the tour were supported to be included in as many experiences as possible. Ian, the bus driver, skilfully guided us around many scenic "back roads" as well as contributing his own take on Scottish/Gaelic culture and history from time to time. Recommended for people who are able to do some walking at various places of interest and especially for people who have an interest in Scottish history.

Really enjoyable tour, tour guide was very knowledgeable and driver was awesome, felt very safe. Negative aspects were accommodation was too small and too remote at couple of locations. Time frames were bit tight at times. The few little extras thrown in were nice though....overall 4star

I loved Giovanni’ s knowledge of interesting places away from crowds and Gordon’s careful, expert driving. The accommodation was special and each one had its own flavour and interest.
