Honest insights from past guests on our Cultural, religious historic sites Scotland tours

Chrone M. | Traveled in May

The countries were great. It's Ireland, you know it's great. Our tour guide Robbie was awesome and made the trip so much better. His knowledge of history, mythology, botony, architecture, and animals was amazing. He always had tidbits to share. He was very friendly and easy to talk to and kept the whole operation smooth so we could just focus on enjoying ourselves. I would most definitely do this again with him as a tour guide!

The trip packed a lot of sites into but also had downtime. The tearoom in Glasgow is a must keep. Dingle had the best cappuccino. Giants Causeway was amazingly beautiful. Scottish highlands were breathtaking. The castles were beautifully preserved showing insight into life that no longer exists but where some traditions are still practiced. The history learned throughout the trip was incredible to learn from not only the tour director but all the story tellers along the way. Listening to the Irish bagpipes and Scottish bagpipes was music to my ears - so beautiful. The Battle of Culloden was like stepping back in time. Such an experience for a chance to learn about this battle. The entire trip was absolutely amazing and the optional excursions worth signing up for. Highly recommend the best of Ireland and Scotland trip.

This trip was well- planned and provided a taste of the major cities in the countries of Ireland, Northern Ireland, and Scotland. The extra excursions were all extraordinary, and the included adventures were all delightful, as well. We experienced a great deal of wonderful culture, food, and nature. The tour guide provided an excellent historical perspective, and his knowledge of each country was outstanding. I enjoyed every minute of this epic trip and I would highly recommend it to family and friends!

From the very beginning with Mary Ann Fowler’s (Assistant In Toronto) help in booking the trip and flight it was wonderful. A very full 15 days. We saw and did so much. Our Tour Director, Zach, was the best we’ve ever had. Knowledgeable, kind, patient, attention to detail, humorous and always cheerful. Michael, our bus driver was the perfect complement to Zach. You never know what your tour mates will be like so we definitely lucked out. Everyone was delightful which says a lot. Not than anyone has control over that. Plus the weather was gorgeous!

We had a fabulous time on our holiday! Our travel director (TD), coach driver(D) and fellow guests were all amazing. We had great energy in the group, thanks to the laughter, great communication and direction given by the TD and D. It’s misleading for Trafalgar to call this a 15 day tour- it is 13 at best. The welcome dinner on the ‘first day’ and the breakfast on the ‘fifteenth day’ are not full days. The other days are full and fun and action packed which we enjoyed.

Our tour guide Zach was wonderful and knowledgeable , as was our driver, Michael. The special ‘lock in’s’ for dinners were something you would never be able to experience on your own and were very enjoyable
