The largest city in Scotland, Glasgow has enough activities to give its size a run for its money. When you are on a tour of Scotland, a visit to Glasgow is a must. Here, you can spend the day visiting the many free museums, stroll down the River Clyde or shop until you drop at Buchanan Street. Enjoy the finest malt whisky in The Pot Still, and when you get hungry, relish a traditional haggis dinner. Come evening, and the city offers a plethora of musical events to keep the night going. Whether it is history, architecture, shopping or a thriving nightlife you are after, a Glasgow tour will not disappoint.

Covered so much history! And beautiful country side. Our tour guide and driver were a wealth of knowledge. Loved it. Each stop you wish you had more time, but did not want to give a moment on any other stop.

We were always on the go; because of that, we saw so much of Scotland in 9 quick days. I really appreciated being taken care of-no driving on the wrong side of the road or getting lost, no handling our luggage, having all our reservations taken care of. Also we met some really cool people on our very comfortable Mercedes bus.

I chose this particular trip because I felt it would give us the best all around overview of the country of Scotland. And it was a very good choice. Beginning in Edinburgh, winding thru the Highlands, a day trip in Orkney, and down the west coast ending in Glasgow, really allows the traveler to get to know the country.

We were able to see as much of Scotland as possible in just 10 days. It was difficult to explore each location for any length of time due to time constraints.

All encompassing, a full agenda & hitting all major attractions all about bonnie Scotland. Tour guide was excellent, our driver was most qualified & my fellow tourists were international & fabulous.

A really great overview of the country, and amazing beginning, unbelievable Revue at the football stadium opening night. Every stop was very pleasant and enlightening. Our guide Emma was very knowledgeable. I kept the pleasant demeanor, while at the same time, taking care of the needs of 43 people.

Glasgow — Tour Highlights and Travel Tips

Tour Highlights

  • The Merchant District is one of the best places to visit on Glasgow tours. This area full of former warehouses is now home to trendy cafés, restaurants and boutiques.
  • Glasgow is famed for its luscious green landscape. Enjoy a family picnic on a sunny afternoon in one of its 70 parks.
  • Glasgow Cathedral is one of the best examples of Gothic architecture in the United Kingdom and should not be missed on your Glasgow trip.

  • A walk by the Glasgow riverfront will take you to some of the city’s top architectural highlights such as Bell’s Bridge and the Scottish Event Campus (SEC).
  • Glasgow tours do not need to focus exclusively on the city itself. Take a trip to the various lakes in the region, head north to the fascinating Highlands, or visit beautiful Edinburgh.

Travel Tips

  • If you fly into Glasgow International Airport, take bus number 77 into the city center. It is slower than the airport shuttle, but costs less and will give you your first local Glasgow experience.
  • Pubs in Glasgow offer great food for cheaper prices than restaurants. If you are on a budget, pop into one of the hundreds of city pubs for some drinks and food.
  • One of the best ways to get around Glasgow is with the subway system. Buying a day-ticket works out best.
