A wonderful trip full of history and discovery. Enjoyed the various optional experiences that were offered and the group was kept well informed from day to day of all the things we needed to be aware of.

Great! The excursion to the Old Smiddy Inn pub in Thrumster was exceptional!! We would rather have skipped boating excursion on Loch Lomond and spent more time on Isle of Skye. Would rather have had an excursion in Glasgow rather than free time as city is very gritty which is sad.

What an exceptional trip thru the city of Edinburgh and continuing on to explore the beautiful highlands of Scotland. Finishing in Glasgow. Incredible scenery, historic events at every corner and seeing how the people of the Highlands and Orkney island once lived and continue to live today. An exceptional time capsule we were able to explore, by way of a beautiful coach. Staying in small towns along the way added to the experience. Our guide Michael has so much local knowledge of the areas, a total enhancement to the trip.

The itinerary was rather balanced. Not too hectic, although I would suggest an additional day in Dublin to visit St Patrick’s Cathedral and also the trinity college would be ideal. I especially like the pub trip visit where we got to see where Snow Patrol 1st performed and the interesting stories shared. Tour Director Simon and Driver Shane were both very nice and took really good care of the group.

This was a Bucket List item, and it was a great trip. The guide Jim and the driver Tom were both outstanding. There were a few days where I felt like we tried to do too many things. But I can't say what I would want left out. I would complain about 3 of the hotel rooms. I traveled alone, and therefore paid extra because of this. But I was put into a much smaller room than any of my fellow travelers twice. Once, the "desk" was unusable as such because the chair was too close to the foot of the bed. So the chair couldn't be sat in to try and use the desk. Another time, I got just a single bed (which really wasn't a problem) but the room was so small, I had to climb over the bed to get to other areas of the room. Lastly, one hotel (Great National Hotel Balina) had a single bed (which was not used) was touching the room's heater. Also, at this same hotel, the only plug near the bed was so low on the ground, it couldn't be used. They did provide me with an extension cord to use, which then created a tripping hazard because it had to be plugged into an opposite wall.

Everything was fantastic. Our tour guide, hotels, bus…. Our only recommendation is food. We were hoping for fresh salmon and lamb since it’s part of Scotland. Other than food, it was wonderful!
