The Collette Tour of Scotland and Northern Ireland was fantastic. The Tour Manager, Graham Hughes and Bus Driver David were outstanding. They were both extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the tour and also personable. Graham went above and beyond what he had to do by assisting us with dinner reservations and also making my birthday, which was the last day of the tour, a memorable one by going out of his way to get me a nice gift to remember the tour by. David the bus driver kept the atmosphere on the bus light and had everyone on the bus laughing during much of the bus travel. The daily tours during the trip were all well-organized and informative and the local tour guides were outstanding. They were all extremely knowledgeable and very funny which made the tours both interesting and fun. The hotels on the tour were comfortable and clean and they were all in great locations with the surrounding areas having easily accessible places to eat and shop. The bus which took us to all of the places that were visited was clean and comfortable and the bus driver David's driving skills were excellent considering the narrow roads and excessive roundabouts . I would absolutely recommend Collette Tours to friends and relatives and would definitely book another Tour with them if the itinerary was something that met me needs. I would absolutely request Graham Hughes for my next tour and David the bus driver.

Disappointed that the weather didn't cooperate to go to the Orkney Isles, but loved being at Ballachulish and Castletown away from the big cities. Wished lunch stops were longer for eating and shopping the towns. Could have stayed all day at Dunrobin Castle as I enjoyed touring on my own, but didn't have time to cover all of it.

Excellent organisation on all aspects of the tour from Edinburgh to London. Excellent staff with their historical knowledge, care and support. Great group of participants from Australia, Canada and USA.

Beautiful land scapes, castles, & cities. A very rich and interesting history also. Our tour group was exceptional, we traveled with the nicest people and our tour guide LAURA was exceptional! It's hard to say what was my favorite part of the trip. We had a wonderful time. Colette leaves nothing unfinished. They take care of everything . Very few decisions need to be made aside from determining what you feel like eating at night!

An excellent tour. Our guide, Peter, was very knowledgeable & made the tour fun with lots of extra details. A good mix of included sights & experiences, but with enough free time to be able to enjoy our many stops along the way. The quaint smaller hotels were a lovely inclusion, particularly The Mulberry Inn with our host, Alan. His attention to detail & the food made this a perfect place to stay.

I would recommend this tour. The accommodation was first class and we were well looked after at each location. The attractions were really interesting. The day trip to Whitby including the Abbey ruins was a great day and the ruins were beautiful. The stop in Lincoln was fabulous with a view of the Cathedral from the room windows lit up at night was magnificent. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and looked after us all the time. The bus driver knew all the "back roads" which made for a great trip. I would definitely do another Back Roads tour when the opportunity arises.
