This was an amazing tour. Only 6 nights, but we did so much and learned so many new things about Scotland. Our tour director, Rosie was amazing, and John the driver needs a pay rise or at least a medal. His driving skills were second to none. I ticked off quite a few things from my bucket list, including feeding the hairy coos! I would recommend this tour to anyone.

Our last night with dinner at the Craufurd castle was over the top. So enjoyed mingling with the Laird and Lady. The whole trip was amazing, but that was the icing on the cake.

A marvelous Scottish journey recently completed. Beautiful scenery, travelled around Scotland in a comfy smaller bus and made lovely friends. Charlie, our tour director, was a mind of information and a gentle, kind person who did his very best to make sure everyone was happy. Abby our driver drove with perfection, and took us to amazing places. Will highly recommend Back Roads touring to everyone. This was my third trip with Backroads, hope to do another one in the future....would love to do it with the same group of people. Brilliant tour with brilliant people. I slipped on wet grass resulting in a trip to emergency with a broken wrist. The tour leader and bus driver went over and above and made sure that I was accompanied and expressed the utmost care.

A near perfect experience! The accommodations were varied and lovely. The breakfasts and dinners couldn't have been better. And the itinerary extremely well planned without our being too rushed while still being alloted adequate and appropriate amounts of time given the particular stop. Our guide, Giovanni, was very knowledgeable, energetic, personable, and took great care of his flock...even going so far as to make special lodging arrangements for a unique situation. I should also commend our guide for his sensitivity in not bringing any political or cultural bias into our time together. Thank you, Giovanni, and Ian, our driver, for bringing the Back Roads of Scotland to life for us! NOTE: Despite the fact that politics and religion are worthy topics, they need to be handled delicately and without derision...otherwise not mentioned at all. My appreciation to those fellow travelers who respect this.
