Honest insights from past guests on our Walking Scotland tours

Angela’s knowledge, experience and guiding skills are exceptional. The Orkney Islands hold so many hidden treasures and Angela not only revealed these but gave us a high level of understanding. Our expectations were met and exceeded. A fascinating part of the world.

Excellent, personable leader with extensive knowledgeable of local history, flora and wildlife. Walks were paced to the ability of the group. The leader altered the itinerary to suit weather conditions and to accommodate unforeseen events and ensured we did not miss any of the itinerary. Good mix of coastal walking and historical sites. Highlights were the puffins, Seabird colony, Skara Brae and the multichambered tomb. Hotel rooms were very good, however the standard of evening meals at the Albert Hotel were below average and meal service was extremely slow despite pre-ordering in the morning. I would highly recommend this tour.

Amazing scenery, stunning geology, masses of wonderful archaeology and history. We had two excellent guides in the tour leader, Angela, and the local company owner, Marco.

We had a really enjoyable walking holiday on Orkney with an excellent balance of activity and sites visited. The guides were fun, caring and extremely knowledgeable and the accommodation was of a good standard.

Great walk with changing country. Really clear signposting. The high point was fort Augustus to invermoriston on the high route even with the steep down.

A fantastic trip to Orkney. We were fortunate with the weather the first week in September and there were still some wildflowers, butterflies and birds around on our coastal walks. However, for me my main reason for visiting Orkney was for the archaeology. I am so pleased I got to see the oldest settlement and stone circle in the UK. It was so worth the visit.
