Our family of four quickly split into two different hiking paces, fast and slow, on this trip. Jacqueline was incredibly patient and supportive with the altitude challenged hiker, and allowed the rest of the group to feel less guilty about charging ahead at a faster pace. Jacqueline’s gentle support allowed everyone to have a great trip at their own speed. Once we got to Agua Caliente, our friends and co-travelers upgraded to the InkaTerra hotel and invited us for dinner. We recommend this hotel for your final night of the trip.

We planned a trip to Paraguay, Bolivia, and Chile with the tireless help of Sofia, who designed the itinerary according to our requests. During the trip, a few setbacks arose (the Chilean border was closed, flights were canceled…) that had to be resolved, and Milagros showed exceptional attention, care, and competence in finding solutions and saving the trip thanks to her availability and ability to find alternatives. Pepe (main guide) and Yhon (assistant guide) were highly professional, helpful, patient, and informative. They provided a wealth of information about the region’s history, culture, and natural landscape. Not only that, they were very extremely attentive to our needs and safety, such as by constantly looking out for signs of altitude sickness and accompanying both the front and back of the pack. The chef and the assistant cooks provided us with fantastic meals, many of which included local delicacies — always adjusted to dietary needs (vegetarian in our case). Last but not least, the porters never disappointed and operated smoothly even in moments of staffing shortage. All in all, terrific service with a great group in a beautiful landscape that stunningly transitions from an alpine to forest biome, culminating in the beautiful and unforgettable sight of Machu Picchu. Would absolutely recommend this company and their guides!

The travel team designed a solo trip to Buenos Aires and Patagonia for me last year which was outstanding, so when I decided to go to Peru and Machu Picchu, I asked them to design a tour for me again. And again I was thrilled with their services! They tailored the trip to my specific interests and made adjustments as we went through the initial planning stagings until the trip was exactly what I wanted. When I travel alone in foreign countries, I don't want to have to worry about issues with transportation, safety, or unexpected changes to the itinerary. They arranged everything for me - transportation from each location with a driver and a bilingual guide to explain that portion of my trip. There were heavy rains in Machu Picchu before my arrival so some trails were closed and they made last minute arrangements for alternatives without problem. They provide you with multiple ways to contact them 24/7 while you're traveling, and I had to contact them once in the middle of the night to confirm a pickup time - they responded on What's App within 2 minutes and got the issue sorted immediately. I will use their company for any of my travels to South America - they are local experts, professional, and extremely easy to work with. Highly recommend!

Edy, our lead tour guide, was exceptional in providing information about the trail and Inca culture. His passion and knowledge made it feel like we were traveling with an Inca warrior who wanted to share his culture with us. Maribel, the assistant tour guide and only female in a crew of about 70 persons, shared her love for the Inca culture by adding distinct touches to the narrative and campsite decorations. The entire team was professional, efficient and caring. No question that they are the best group to lead your personal Inca experience.

We planned our epic trip to South America with Analia. She was excellent at listening, advising, tailoring, meeting expectations for our requirements to make this trip an amazing experience. Joaquina then took over to support and guide us through the finer details of the trip, and whilst we were on our holiday. We had access to a WhatsApp support for any queries along the way, a 24 hour emergency WhatsApp number also. The tours and guides were of all very good, with some guides standing out as excellent. We did find it a little annoying when on larger tours with multi lingual guides as we seemed to be in the minority. It felt like we weren't gaining from the same level of information as that delivered to the Spanish speaking! However, overall, the service was seamless, caring, friendly and professional.
