Your tour begins with a bus trip from Cusco to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Upon arrival at Km 82, you will be briefly introduced to the crew. Then, you will cross the bridge at Urubamba River to start your trek. The first day is relatively easy. You will visit the city of Patallacta—constructed at the foot of a mountain, this site was an important center for administrative, economic and religious functions. Then, make your way to Willkarakay, a military post located above the site of Patallacta. Continue your journey to the lush valley of Wayllabama, walking along the banks of the Cusichaca River observing the Inca terraces and upward the dense Andean forest. Reach your campsite in Wayllabamba and stay overnight.
