India Sightseeing Trips

This trip was exactly as described. It is full on, brekky 7.30am out at 8.30am. A lot of coach travel but with breaks that made it fine. The accommodation was far better than I expected. Our tour leader was always on hand, always checking everyone was present, and was very approachable. This was my first trip with Explore and I was a solo traveller but I always felt included. I will be booking my next trip soon. 🙂

A great experience with stunning scenery at the tea plantations and from the houseboat. The food was amazing. Abhi our guide really made the trip though and was the most attentive and hard working Explore guide I have had (this was Explore trip 36). He was there at every meal, helping with orders and his love of his job and country were obvious. Thanks Abhi - you were outstanding. The hotels were of a very good standard although hot water was not available at the homestay or on the boat (although the boat was very comfortable). It is advisable to have a smaller bag for the boat as it is difficult to move large bags onto or off the boats. Avoid Air India - my flight was cancelled on the day out meaning I missed the first day of the tour, there were also further delays both en route and on return.... Overall though a wonderful experience with a lovely group of fellow travellers. Highly recommended. Do take an umbrella!

Our 10 days luxury India tour is fantastic, The driver was perfect, always punctual, polite, and ensured safe travel throughout. The tour was perfectly organised, in a fairly short time you can see a very large number of sights. It was a surprise to me that this was actually an individual tour. For that price, this format is miracle, at the same time, all the guides are russian speaking, which was also pleasent.

I went for a trip alone with Abhinav (seven wonder tours) and it was amazing. In few days I visited so many beautiful places in so different cities. I took a lot of beautiful pictures and souvenirs for my family. So far it was the best tour of my life. I highly recommend this tour to everyone.

I did the India and Sri Lanka combo experience and honestly had the best time in both. As my first time going away anywhere on my own it was so reassuring having intro do all the hard work, organising, planning, getting from place to place for me. In India my group leaders were Yoni and Mikes, both two absolutely beautiful human beings. It was so beautiful to see how they interacted with the locals which encouraged us and showed how we could also interact with them positively and respectfully. In Sri Lanka my group leader was Matt, who also was amazing. He was so knowledgeable on the incredible country Sri Lanka is and really helped us appreciate its beauty on a deeper level. All three of the group leaders gave a great sense of security to me allowing me to feel safe in both countries and able to relax and really appreciate and enjoy them for what they are.
