Excellent tour - so full of fascinating facts, relics and sites from India's amazing past (but maybe not to be recommended for a first time to India visitor). I highly commend our guide Nab - extremely knowledgeable, courteous, easily understood, caring, professional, a good sense of humour, and a very interesting person - I cannot fault her.

Highlights of Kerala

Overall a great experience. Some of the days involved long travel distance and long days of travel in the van. Our tour guide did his best to break up the long drives but it might be good to evaluate the itinerary a bit to reduce the long drives. Loved the varied itinerary. Our tour guide and van driver were terrific, very polite, knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The small group of 10 was a nice size. Good variety of locations and experiences (loved the backwater houseboat!). Nice variety of site seeing and experiences such as meals with local hosts.

A wonderful trip full of amazing sights, food, colours and an outstanding tour leader!

We are just back from our first ever trip to India. It was a wonderful experience full of amazing buildings, palaces and forts. We tried a wide variety of delicious food and had the opportunity to eat at both top end restaurants for a reasonable price as well as sample a range of street food. The trip certainly lived up to its name as the colours we saw were so vibrant, whether it was ladies dressed in beautiful saris, colourful flowers and garlands or the decoration in the temples.

We had a wonderful visit to India partly due to our excellent tour guide Pradeep Jain, enhancing our appreciation of all things Indian, culture, history, flora and fauna and for whom nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation and food throughout was great. We were fortunate enough to have five excellent close up sightings of tigers in Kanha and Panna National Parks, as well as leopards, striped hyena, wild elephant, dholes and gaur and a plethora of birdlife. As commented on in earlier reviews the quality of the Park Guides was very variable, some enthusiastic and knowledgeable, others mediocre at best. Our only slight issue was we were not advised before our trip that the use of mobile phones in the National Parks was prohibited which caused issues for some of our group. The rickshaw ride and walk through the markets of Old Delhi will live long in the memory and should not be missed.

We had an absolutely fantastic time. Thank you so much to Raj and the team. The whole trip was extremely well organised. Raj gave us a fantastic Indian experience. He has a wealth of knowledge and puts the clients needs first. We were very grateful for all his efforts. It is a full on tour so a level of stamina is required to get the most out of it. As well as the obvious highlights of the Taj Mahal, palaces and forts, it’s the extras that make the trip- a visit to a step well, dressing in Indian costumes, well picked restaurants by Raj and a visit to Raj Mandir in Jaipur to watch a Bollywood movie! It was an incredible rewarding trip. Raj handled any difficulties well. He is a lovely man! We were slightly apprehensive before travelling about how the group dynamic would work but we were lucky and thoroughly enjoyed everyone’s company. There were 13 like-minded people in our group ranging in ages from 20- late 60s but age didn’t matter. We would thoroughly recommend this trip and Explore!

It was a great experience . Kerala is a fascinating part of India and the itinerary allowed us to experience all the best bits . Along the way our Guide was able to offer advice and was an excellent host , nothing was too much trouble . I would highly recommend a trip to Kerala with Explore at this time of year , mid to late February .
