India 13-Day Tours and Trips

This trip was truly amazing. The itinerary was full on and fast paced. This was needed as we covered so much ground. The places we visited were incredible and got progressively better as the trip went on. The hotels were of a good standard, the heritage hotels were beautiful and gave us a taste of their past glory. The food we ate was delicious. Lots of choice and great for vegetarians. It wasn’t too spicy and I had no ‘Delhi belly’. I loved how we also learnt about Indian history and culture on this trip. Pushkar was fun and interesting. Our guide Satish Dhar was great. This holiday was one of my favourites. Advice for other travellers thinking about this trip: there a fair amount of walking, 9000-15,000 steps most days. This wasn’t an issue for me, however, it maybe for those who are not as active. When Explore say this is a full on trip they really mean it. Please make sure you are physically up to it.

An absolutely classic trip.  If you only do one cycle trip then this should be the one.  The cycling is fantastic with very relaxed quiet roads (mostly), the scenery is stunning, and the food excellent. Add to this the lack of transfers, the houseboat experience and the variation in terrain and it has everything you could ask for.

If you want to see India and experience Indian culture in a small way i cant recommend exodus travels enough, after a lot of searching and investigation i booked my holiday / trip with Trail Finders whom recommended Exodus. I chose the colour of Rajastan tour as it covered everything i wanted to see in a short period of time. I was not disappointed, upon arrival at Delhi International airport i was met by Ronit the Tour leader, he took me to a taxi to take me to the hotel in the centre of New Delhi, explianing that we would leave the hotel at approx 1pm as there was still another flight coming n later, the Taxi driver was friendly and the transfer was included, I checked into the hotel, showered and changed and went for a walk onto the small street outside the hotel, the local shops and market was just 100 meters from the hotel, Met up with the rest of the group at 1 for our tour around Delhi, what an experience, Seeing India Gate, etc. This is a truly brilliant trip, I wont spoil the rest for you but it got better by the day highlighting with the final city of Jaipuir I would recommend this to everyone, however you have to be reasonable fit expect to walk about 2 to 5 miles each day up steep hills and steps, the Indian Roads are not brilliant once off the main highways and can be very bumpy and rough.

An amazing experience riding and eating my way through Southern India. The cycling at times was challenging but the group and leader were always there to offer support. The warmth and sincerity from the local people was tremendous and I urge anybody who wants a good mix of cycling to take this incredible journey.

My first trip to India and with Exodus, this certainly wont be my last. Everything ran smoothly and was so informative and magical due to the charismatic and thoughtful tour leader Sam G Benjamin.

This trip really was amazing every few days you felt like you were somewhere new, it was a trip that offered so much variety. One day your surrounded by tea plantations and then by the end of the day your on the tropical coast. There was a good mix of culture and amazing scenery. Great like minded group which made each day easy and fun. I would recommend this for everyone, apart from going up the hill to Ooty (that was really tough) you didn't need a huge amount of fitness, I hadn't done that much training before and managed fine.
