Reviews of our India Tours for July
Feedback from guests who toured India during July.
This tour gave me a complete taste of India, from the bustling streets of Delhi to the serene backwaters of Kerala. Every destination was thoughtfully planned and the local experiences were exceptional.
The tour was absolutely amazing from Day 1 to the very end! The entire team did a fantastic job in making our experience smooth, enjoyable, and unforgettable. We highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore India with comfort and confidence
I did the India and Sri Lanka combo experience and honestly had the best time in both. As my first time going away anywhere on my own it was so reassuring having intro do all the hard work, organising, planning, getting from place to place for me. In India my group leaders were Yoni and Mikes, both two absolutely beautiful human beings. It was so beautiful to see how they interacted with the locals which encouraged us and showed how we could also interact with them positively and respectfully. In Sri Lanka my group leader was Matt, who also was amazing. He was so knowledgeable on the incredible country Sri Lanka is and really helped us appreciate its beauty on a deeper level. All three of the group leaders gave a great sense of security to me allowing me to feel safe in both countries and able to relax and really appreciate and enjoy them for what they are.
This holiday requires a level of fitness that copes with altitude and heat. The hotels are largely OK , three are good but the one in Mandi is filthy with an urgent need for a change in bed linen and towels. Mandi offers very little, needs to be left out of the itinerary. Also needs to review "strenuous walk" as it no longer exists due to the area's development. Jama Masjid in Delhi was too hot to walk on and western women were asked to wear robes. Money asked for minding shoes. The area is stunning in its natural beauty. Be prepared for a lot of Bhuddist monasteries. The trip allows for a certain amount of freedom to relax if desired. The tour guide was excellent as was the guide for Leh Tiring tour but I am glad I went.
The Markha Valley trek in Ladakh was a great experience. Incredible scenery and a great team around us. Our Leader Tundup did an excellent job. Also Chandra in Delhi helped me out with a Taj Mahal visit. Only negative, is the amount of time we spend walking on dirt roads with cars driving past. Overall great to see this part of India.
The trip was full of variety where it constantly changed and evolved; with lots of wonderful surprises and never got predictable. This was my 3rd trip to India; but 1st with Explore; and I leant and understand so much more about the country from this trip; it was like pieces of the jigsaw all coming together. I’m planning to revisit the other places I’ve traveled previously with other companies; but doing it Explore; to get a much better understanding and appreciation of the place.
