Today after breakfast, there’s no better way to start your day than with a guided walking tour. Meet your guide and begin exploring the vibrant heart of Lisbon, discovering some of the city’s most iconic neighborhoods, including Baixa, Chiado, Castelo and Alfama. As you walk, you will encounter major landmarks such as Figueira Square, the Monument to the Restorers, the haunting ruins of the Carmo Convent, the top of the Santa Justa Elevator, the scenic Santa Lucía viewpoint and the historic Lisbon Cathedral. Wander through the winding, maze-like streets of Alfama before concluding this remarkable half-day tour at the magnificent Comércio Square. Spend the rest of your day indulging in Lisbon’s rich culinary scene from fresh seafood to flavorful chouriço. Join us for a Tagus River Evening Boat Trip and enjoy Lisbon’s stunning waterfront as it lights up at night. Departing from Doca do Bom Sucesso near the Belém Tower, sail past iconic landmarks like the Monument of the Discoveries, 25 de Abril Bridge and the Sanctuary of Christ the King. From Belém to Alfama, admire Lisbon from a unique perspective while learning about Portuguese nautical history and sipping on a refreshing beer or soft drink.

Explore the Lisbon Oceanarium, one of the world’s top aquariums, home to over 15,000 sea creatures including sharks, sea otters, and the rare sunfish. This immersive experience offers a unique look into diverse marine ecosystems and the wonders of ocean life.

Today after breakfast, you will be transferred to the train station in Lisbon and board the train to Porto. Upon arrival at Porto train station, you will be transferred to the cruise port in Porto. Check-in begins at 15:00hrs. This evening, enjoy a welcome reception and crew presentation with the captain's dinner.

After breakfast on board, you may choose to spend the day discovering Porto, a city that enchants visitors with its scenic hills and charmingly timeworn architecture. You can begin with a stroll through the Ribeira district, the city’s historic heart, where colorful riverfront houses overlook the Ponte Dom Luís I, the striking iron bridge designed by a close associate of Gustave Eiffel. From there, enjoy the beautiful views of boats gliding along the Douro River and soak up the lively atmosphere of this UNESCO-listed area. If you wish, you can also visit one of Porto’s renowned port wine cellars to learn about its celebrated winemaking heritage.

Shore Excursion: Panoramic tour of Porto - Part of Package

Enjoy a panoramic tour of Porto, showcasing the city’s most iconic sights. Admire the grand Avenida dos Aliados, the elegant Clérigos Tower, and the striking Cathedral (Sé do Porto). Take in sweeping views over the Douro River and the charming Ribeira district, revealing Porto’s unique blend of history, architecture, and vibrant culture.

Departure from Porto is scheduled at 05:30 a.m, with breakfast served on board while sailing along the Douro River. You will arrive in Entre-os-Rios around 10:00 a.m, a charming town in northern Portugal situated at the confluence of the Douro and Tâmega Rivers, surrounded by serene, bucolic landscapes. Highlights include the elegant Ponte Duarte Pacheco, which connects the town across the Tâmega River, and the Church of São Miguel de Entre-os-Rios, a fine example of Romanesque architecture rich in history. You may decide to visit the Museu da Pedra, showcasing artifacts from the region’s earliest inhabitants. Just 04 km away lies a delightful spa and thermal area, perfect for relaxing amid centuries-old trees and the natural beauty of this tranquil riverside setting.

Embark on an excursion to Guimarães, often called the “Cradle of Portugal” for its vital role in the nation’s early history. This beautifully preserved medieval town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, invites you to wander through narrow cobbled streets lined with traditional granite houses and charming squares. Discover the impressive Guimarães Castle, where Portugal’s first king, Afonso Henriques, was born, and visit the elegant Palace of the Dukes of Bragança, a striking example of 15th-century architecture. Enjoy some free time in the historic center, filled with lively cafés and local shops, before returning, enriched by the timeless atmosphere of Portugal’s birthplace.

Early in the morning you will depart from Entre-os-Rios at 6:00 a.m, with breakfast served on board as you sail through the tranquil waters of the Douro River. You will arrive in Régua around 10:00 a.m, known as the wine capital of the Douro. This picturesque town lies in a breathtaking natural amphitheater of steep slate hillsides, where terraced vineyards have been carved into the rock over centuries. Recognized by UNESCO as part of the Douro Valley World Heritage Site, Régua is the ideal gateway to explore the world’s oldest demarcated wine region, officially regulated since 1756 and a perfect introduction to the heart of Portugal’s winemaking heritage.

Today after breakfast, the cruise will departs from Régua at 10:00 a.m, sailing toward Porto through some of the most picturesque stretches of the Douro Valley. Relax and take in the breathtaking views of terraced vineyards, quaint villages and serene river landscapes along the way. You will arrive in Porto around 07:30 p.m. After docking, the evening is free for you to discover the city’s charm at your own pace, you may stroll along the Douro River, admire Porto’s distinctive architecture, or simply enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of its lively squares and enjoy your farewell dinner.

After you have enjoyed breakfast on board, you will disembark by 09:00AM from the river cruise in Porto and will make your own way to the airport for your flight back home.
