A great itinerary, good organisation, knowledgeable tour leader and safe friendly driver. Enjoyed travelling through the Portuguese, French and the Primitivo (original) way. Have travelled with BRT before and will recommend to others.
Content and accommodation was excellent. Tour leader Mercedes did everything possible to ensure we all get the most out of the experience. Only negative was that another day is probably needed in the schedule.
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour however there were a couple fo things that we would like to bring to your attention. Firstly, the majority of our Group caught a taxi out of Santiago to walk the final 5kms of the Camino - I honestly feel that this should be included as a part of the tour, people could have the option of not doing it. Secondly and this one really strikes me and it shocked the whole of our Group. On the night of our final dinner, we had approx 7 bottle of wine placed on the table for us to drink, that's great however I personally don't drink alcohol and when I asked for a soft drink, I was told that was not included and would need to be paid for. I have to say I found this a bit of an insult - not everybody drinks wine and there should have been an option for something else rather than water.
We had a small group and everything went well interesting places.
A Taste of the Camino is a fabulous tour in picturesque northern Portugal and Spain. It has amazing history to delve into and ancient legends in abundance. The journey across the mountains, the Picos de Europa, was stunning. It felt as though we were on top of the world.
