Our Travel Director, was fantastic and helped give us the trip of a lifetime. Organization, coordination and information were all top notch and we saw some of the most incredible sites across Italy!
Our travel director was AMAZING! Our satisfaction was his top priority! We had an absolute ball and loved seeing Italy through his eyes!
Fabulous from beginning to end. Staff are friendly and helpful and tour director was so nice and made everyday fun.
The itinerary covered all the main sights and gave us easy access to the busiest sights which allowed us to just be sightseeing. So appreciative to *personal info removed by Feefo* and his attention to detail.
Traflagar is the BEST! We had such an amazing trip! Every second was priceless! Hotels and transportation was all taken care of! We loved all the hotels, and we were able to relax and enjoy our trip without the hassle of carrying luggage, securing tickets, and finding transport. The tour guide was exceptional. We will definitely be booking with Traflagar again and again!
Being able to stay in one place for 2 or 3 days made the trip quite relaxing. We picked Concerto because we specifically wanted to visit those areas and we were not disappointed. Our guide was beyond professional. She was completely organized, thorough, and a wealth of information. You can tell she loves what she does...and she's so good at it. It was the perfect first trip to Italy.
It was very effective. However, the costs were much higher than we expected as there were few activities that were part of the basic plan. Therefore the value wasn’t great
The Italian Concerto trip was so much fun! Friendly and kind people on the trip! The food was amazing! I loved seeing all of the sights in Rome, Amalfi Coast, the Vatican, Sistine Chapel, Capri, Pompeii, and Venice! The only things I didn't like about the trip was some of the people who worked in a hotel called Grand Hotel Tiberio were not friendly. One of the people were friendly and nice. His name is . He was attentive and gave wonderful customer service! Another pet peeve about the hotels were we weren't able to do our laundry. We were told that we would be able to wash and dry our clothes, but the hotels didn't have self-laundromats, they had a laundry service where they do it for you and they charge a lot for it. Can you also advertise that there will be a lot of walking on the trip? There was a lot of walking on the trip. Overall, it was wonderful to see different parts of Italy!
Overall this was an amazing trip!! We saw and experienced so much. Almost all the tours and excursions included and extra were well worth it. Where ever we ate, the food was delicious! However, when we got there, the itinerary that the Tour Director offered was different from what was listed on the website and did not include some of the ones listed. As well, we were supposed to receive a detailed itinerary from our Tour Director when we got there but we never did. In fact there was quite a lack of communication overall from our Tour Director. The Gondola charge was the price for two people per gondola but 5 were packed onto the Gondolas and it was supposed to be for 35 minutes but was only 24 minutes. This one was not worth the money! The lagoon cruise to Burano was not organized well, when we got there we walked through a lovely village with what looked like great shops and gelato places etc., on the way to our restaurant. When we came out from dinner they were all closed so we missed out on that, and had to wait for 45 minutes for our boat to come back, with nothing to do. It was very hot and not enough rest periods were always offered. Too much of the free time was for shopping. Our bus drivers were all wonderful! I did love the convenience of having someone else book and plan everything! I would try Trafalgar again.
The itinerary was spectacular and our tour guide was unbelievably knowledgeable. I only wish I could stay in Italy longer. I can’t wait to return!
The itinerary was pretty good at a reasonable pace not overly rushed but there were long driving days involved.
I enjoyed the variety of sites that we saw, everything from historical and archaeological to nature and beauty. I was fascinated by the side trip to tivoli gardens with all of the fountains and the organ that is played by the fountain. The tour director was very accommodating with my eating differences and I had not originally planned to do the extra excursions that included a meal but since he was so accommodating, I chose to do them and really enjoyed myself. The bus driver was amazing on the tight streets. A big bonus was that I came back having learnt some Italian.
The itinerary covers all the bases but for me it was to large of a group. I was also disappointed in some of the hotels.
The Trip was fabulous. Our tour guide was so amazing. He actually made our trip. My only complaint is that there were far too many optional excursions which cost us over $2000 as we did all of them. Everyone complained about this. They should have all been included. Most of us did them because we did not want to miss out on anything, but those that could not afford it felt left out and saddened. More if not all optionals should be included. But the trip itself, the food, the adventures, were all top notch.
The tour's itinerary is wonderful in theory and on paper but in reality, boy are you moving!!! I will say we saw so many beautiful places during the trip and overall had a fantastic time. Our fellow travelers were all lovely and we have some new found friends as a result of the trip. One not so great thing about the tour is the fact that we lost a whole day traveling from Amalfi to Florence. And it is disappointing to me that I have read this same complaint from other past travelers over the past couple of years. (You can see that I have planned this trip and read reviews about it for about 2 years.) Yet Trafalgar has not made a change to the itinerary or offered the train as an alternative way to get from Amalfi to Florence to save time. Also I would suggest that the trip should allow 3 nights in each location and this would allow more free time in each city. We felt very rushed in each of the locations. Maybe Trafalgar can look into adding those days to make it a 13 day trip instead of 11 days and look into either changing the order of visiting the cities or offering the train to Florence and as a means to save time. Nonetheless we loved the trip just wished we could have had 3 nights in each city and more free time to roam around on our own. The trip definitely left us with the desire to go back to explore these cities again.
It seemed to be unorganized at times. Too many lines and waiting in the hot sun, haphazard meeting times and bus departures, bus changes, luggage handling. The hotels were nice but not the best locations. The dinners were excellent. The optional excursions were just so-so.
OPT DE VUE ! That's French for " GO BABY!" ( I made that up, just so you know.) This trip ( Italian Concerto) kept us on the move from morning through the night with every enjoyable experience you could possibly fit into 10 days in Italy.
Everything was wonderful , but do wish we had more free time.
This was a fantastic trip! I was able to see so much of Italy and enjoy myself with Trafalgar Tours. Emma, our tour guide was FABULOUS! She made each person feel special and cared for during the entire trip. I am a 60 year old female and I traveled on my own. I felt so safe and I made lots of new friends. I can't wait to take another trip with Trafalgar!!!
and Coach driver were awesome!! The planning was seamless. It may just have been the trip of my lifetime!! I will encourage anyone to use Trafalgar. Overall, I was very pleased with the trip.
It was jammed packed of amazing experiences! Local specialist kept us moving at a brisk pace while pointing out key points of interest and telling bits of history and unknown facts.
Excellent itinerary.
The itinerary was perfect. I loved the order in which we saw the cities. Each stop kept getting better and better. The only thing I would have changed was the travel day from Amalfi to Florence. I would prefer to have the option to travel by train rather than bus. We lost an entire day due to travel.
It was a fun adventure with an incredibly knowledgeable and pleasant. , a fantastic driver, and excellent local guides like
It was a wonderful tour. Very busy. I was exhausted but wouldn’t change anything. was an amazing Tour Director. He is the one of the reasons the vacation was so enjoyable.
We had an amazing time. I loved the itinerary of the Concerto. Our travel guide always went above and beyond to ensure everyone’s safety and concerns. My husband and I are amazed by everything we did over in Italy. We never would have been able to squeeze in all the sights on our own. knowledge of the history of the areas added to our experience. In addition, he sought out other local guides that helped to make each day perfect !!! I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Italy and wants to see ALL the best places and experience all that Italy has to offer !!
The itineary was very inclusive of all wonderful places to visit in Italy and sights I wanted to see. The days were long but filled with wonderful people in our group and our tour director was spot on
