Visiting Rome then staying in Montecatini Terme for several nights was great.
The day trips to Florence, Pisa, Sienna, Lucca, San G... were a lot of fun.
Sailing on the Italian Riviera to Cinque Terre was a dream come true.
Our itinerary and optional experiences provided a wonderful variety of things to do.
Shopping at a local market then learning how to make pasta was a lot of fun.
Our travel director and driver were outstanding; always going above & beyond expectations.
This was my 7th trip with Trafalgar.

Guillia put a great self-drive tour together for us and Susana looked after us as we travelled.
(Even when we got lost)
The car and accommodation was good and the guides patient and informative.
Only issue we had was parking in small villages, garages, and cities.
Apart from the parking we had a relaxing and enjoyable holiday, thank you.

Lots of steep walking. A lot of time riding the bus. We enjoyed the trip but would have liked more free time to explore on our own. All in all a great trip!!

Fast paced, a lot of walking (up/down hills), some of the hotels were not located near shops/walking areas, HOT and often crowded. Rome was kind of a bust if you are expecting to actually go into historical sites (Vatican, St Peter Basilica, Statue of David and Coliseum)
You do get to see a variety of historical villages and vineyards/restaurants. There is a bit of pressure to purchase items at these places. Loved our primary Tour guide (knowledgeable, approachable and accommodating). Our tour group was great (that's luck of the draw though). I did make a few very cool, and unique, purchases. Do not expect the Americanized version of Italian food. Overall, the food is good and definitely a much healthier, and greener, lifestyle than we have in the USA. I did appreciate that insight.
