Tour is very busy if you do all the optional tours. Expect a lot of daily walking. There are lots of stairs - especially at Mont St Michel. At Chateau de la Bourdaisiere, not everyone stays in the Chateau, some stay in the stables. Deauville Hotel included meal was not nice , dry, reconstituted veal. Welcome dinner and farewell dinner of both tours is on the same day. If going to see Aiguille de Midi at Chamonix book tickets on the website in advance as tickets were sold out. I had previously been there before, so was not too disappointed.
Expect tremendous amount of walking especially stairs.
There are a number of problems if you don't have a cellphone that works internationally, especially if your tour director sends all his/her instructions through apps. Even for your seating assignment you have to have cellphone connection. Both my tour directors were excellent in their historical knowledge and in the smooth running of the tour.
The first part (south) was very good specially with Frederick and the driver (sorry I can not remeber his name). The only complain would be the hotel in Chamonix. For the second part (north) was ok, the only complain would be the room in the castle in Btitanny.
Great jam packed tour! We covered an amazing amount of France. Great tour directors and fun travel companions.
Great itinerary, but the the fact that it is two trips combined makes it difficult. You should add a day in between as The farewell dinner and the welcome dinner is on the same night, this is not ideal when you need to spend time with fellow travelers. There is a lot to do in Paris .
More time in Monaco, visit to cannes, more sightseeing in paris, find an alternative to grenoble technical stop, ensure bare minimum air conditioning and room consistency in each accommodation
Its made up of 16 days, Back roads or such. We saw a walled city nearly every day. many optional tours were around another walled area. Sure have walled cities, and churches. But I wanted to see France in all its facets .It would have been diverse and certainly more interesting.
Staying a single night in one place is too hectic and doesn't get you enough time to explore and enjoy it!
Wonderful tour to see most of France
