I had such a fantastic time on this trip. The guide Jorges was passionate, knowledgeable and understanding to everyone. The places we stopped and the camaraderie we enjoyed on the Camino was down to the itinerary and the organisation of our guide. The trips structure was flexible and considerate of everyone’s needs, the guide was able to organise checkpoints throughout the day with the driver and people were able to skip parts if they had an injury or were finding it difficult. The local guides were very passionate and knowledgeable. I’d definitely recommend this trip if you’re wanting to do the Camino.
This was a wonderful trip that exceeded my expectations. Our Guide, Jorge, was absolutely wonderful - knowledgeable, friendly, respectful, available, and fun. Our driver, Santiago, was just brilliant - reliable, punctual, safe driver, and always looked out for us on the road. They made a great team. Accommodation was fantastic; our group bonded so well. We learned much, much more than expected - the context provided made the journey more meaningful. We were able to walk and eat together, but also be on our own to think about what we were seeing, doing, and why.
The selected highlights of the Camino were beautiful, the guide (Jorge) and driver (Santiago) were fantastic and they did a great job of helping us to avoid the steep sections of the hike. We were 77 turning 78 and walked our age in miles. Accommodations and meals were fine.
I had a fantastic time in the Best of the Camino tour. Great walking, good food and wine and fantastic staff, our guide Jorge and driver Santiago. I learnt so much any the history of Spain and its architecture. The hotels were also great.
The trip was so much more than I could have imagined. Highlights included our amazing guide, the wonderful team we shared the journey with, the beautiful local people and their amazing country. Every day was a new adventure through fantastic landscapes.
Very enjoyable trip made even better by an amazing guide.
Sergio was the best guide by far, he was an amazing guide.
The Best of Camino tour exceeded my expectations! For context this was my first trip to Spain, first walking holiday AND group tour. Our small group size made it easy to get to know each person. The hotels selected were comfortable and in great locations. I enjoyed all the “pilgrim” meals especially the final night in Santiago. Our guide, Sergio selected the walks that would showcase the best of the landscape. He kept us safe, guided us and we learned so much about the culture through Sergio. Our driver Miro, moved us safely to all start points, took care of our bags and poles, always with a smile. It IS “Best of Camino”, the best guide, the best driver, the best accommodations, meals and best value for money. I have recommended UTracks to friends and family and look forward to my next adventure!
It was amazing! Our guide Sergio was very friendly and informative. Our driver was wonderful. He was very proficient and enjoyable to get to know. The hotels we stayed at were excellent as well as the great restaurants we went to. I was sad to see the trip end! I would recommend this to anyone wanting to walk the Camino.
Balanced, well planned and organised, comfortable and enjoyable. Juan, our guide was terrific, knowledgeable, inclusive and funny.
Terrific way to do the Camino if you are interested in the highlights. The accommodation and the restaurants were great. The tour leader Juan was amazing and the best. The driver Santiago was caring and a great personality.
Well organised, well led (by Fran), well serviced by our bus driver, acceptable accommodation, however very poor food options for vegetarians (my partner, Sandra and our leader) for evening meals.
The Best of the Camino was a fabulous experience for us. Our guide, Juan and driver, Santiago were fabulous. This was a second UTracks hike for us in the same vacation. It was such a relief on this trip to have a knowledgeable guide and competent driver who cared about you and fostered a connected sense within the group. This was not our previous experience, as not all guides are like this. The Best of the Camino combines day walks between 15-22km, bus movement across the more ‘boring’ parts of the Camino, great hotel accommodation and meals. I would highly recommend this experience.
We experienced a lot of the sites along the French way that you normally have to walk 800+ km. Highlights were the hotels, food and scenery. The guide Juan was brilliant - excellently lead the group.... the best. The driver Santiago was a fantastic, funny, and caring guy.
A cultural experience and wonderful guide made this otherwise long trek enjoyable!
Excellent well planned itinerary, Silvia was a fantastic guide.
Our guide Sylvia was one of the best I have ever had. She was on top of all travel details and her humor added a further dimension to our trip. The logistics and daily plans were great except a couple of days are hikes were in the afternoons instead of the mornings. We were the solitary people hiking in the heat of the afternoons. With some modest rearranging of city tours, this could have been avoided. Only downer was that some of the dinners were not very good.
Our guide Sylvia was truly phenomenal, her passion for the Camino, her organisational abilities & enthusiasm made for a fantastic walking experience. Unfortunately some of the accommodations & dinners could do with improvement. The support bus greatly enhances the walking experience.
It was well organized. Our expectations were well meet & at all times we felt safe & looked after.
Very well organised. Great guide and coach driver. Lovely accommodation. A fantastic trip!
A wonderful experience. Our guide was excellent in all ways and the group a perfect size.
Great guide, hotels and restaurants. The group had common objective in walking the Camino. It was also inspiring that the group got on so well. I would have no hesitation in using them again.
Best of Camino exceeded my expectations! Very well organized, flexible, super guide, great food and wine (included if you can believe it!) and great company. The description was exactly what it said it was, a moderate physical activity challenge. I felt well prepared physically because I followed the advice from the advisors and the type of activities that it described (we would be doing). Unfortunately others in the group were less prepared for the moderate walking required and they struggled a bit. All in all it was everything it promised. Fantastic memories and new friendships!
Wonderful experience, so well organised, hotels and dining were excellent. Tour guide Sergio was fabulous and made our trip an exceptional with treasured memories.
This package met all our best hopes and inspired us to do more.
The Best of the Camino was even better than I expected. The guide - Fran - was superb and the walking experience was simply amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute and highly recommend the trip.
I did the Best of Camino starting 03 September 2023. It was one of the most enjoyable trips I've done - the food, the accommodation, the fantastic leader Jorge and our equally fantastic bus driver Miro made this an unforgettable trip.
The Best of the Camino was exactly that - The Best!! Our guide, Hector, was excellent - he clearly loved walking the Camino and had a great way of involving us in the history of, and cities along, The Way. Between Hector and our bus driver, Sergio, we were well looked. I could not recommend this trip more highly - I have travelled a fair amount over the years and this was a highlight - 10 out of 10. A bucket list trip that met and exceeded expectations. Thank you Hector and Sergio.
We arranged our “Best of the Camino Frances” walking trip. 13 days spent walking, touring, experiencing this historic pilgrimage route. We enjoyed wonderful hotels, paradors, monasteries and other lodging and excellent meals while spending our days walking on the best, most scenic and historic stages of the Way of St James. Our Camino trail guide, Silvia provided a perfect balance of attentive care and information while allowing ample freedom to have our own experience. Despite October rains (for which we were prepared) and a smaller than typical group, everything went perfectly with zero hiccups, thanks to the company, Silvia and our driver, Jose. This was our third active travel trip arranged through them and we remain 100% convinced that we enjoy this well planned, usually self guided traveling method. We have already booked our fourth trip, for next May in Croatia. We are an active retired couple from San Francisco, CA.
Loved the different hotels, menus and wine each night plus the history tours before and after hiking which meant an average daily distance of 30km per day. Guide excellent but should have been given more latitude to rearrange trip, eg having a wine tasting before a hike in the middle of a very hot day was not a good idea.
