The guide, Debra, was spectacular. She was very knowledgeable, very vigilant, and very humorous and friendly. I would go on another tour, wherever, if she were the guide. My only complaint is that there was a lack of choice and diversity when it came to dining. It seemed like we didn't have many choices of entrees for dishes when we were dining in the restaurants selected for this trip. The dishes were well prepared, but I would have chosen other selections had I been given the option.
Although the trip was very good, I expected more time on the Camino walk for solitude and reflection, given it is a spiritual pilgrimage. It was very busy.
Interesting walk in Portugal with a great guide Joao and bus driver. Comfortable hotels, good food, side trips and breaks.
The trip was very well planned and it included many interesting places of historical significance that certainly was a bonus.
The Portuguese Camino walk from Lisbon to Santiago de Compostela exceeded all our expectations. From start to finish, it was an unforgettable journey filled with rich experiences, beautiful landscapes, and meaningful connections. The small group size created a friendly, intimate atmosphere that made the experience even more special. The duration of the walk was well-paced, allowing us to truly absorb each stage of the journey without feeling rushed. We were continually amazed by the variety of walking tracks—from peaceful forest paths to coastal stretches and Roman cobblestones. The ever-changing scenery offered something new to appreciate each day, and it was a joy to discover and explore so many unique places along the way. A huge thank you to our incredible guide, Sylvia. Her warmth, humour, patience, and flexibility made every day feel light and enjoyable. We still fondly remember her cheerful greeting, Hello, hello, hello! Which became a part of our daily routine. Sylvia and Francisco, our friendly and dependable mini-van driver, made a fantastic team. Their seamless coordination and genuine care for the group made the experience all the more smooth and enjoyable. We’re so grateful for this memorable adventure—truly a trip of a lifetime.
