Amalfi Coast Walking - Coastal Hotel

Well planned itinerary at a good pace. Fun, informative guide who managed all members of the group with grace. Guide was very helpful on challenging portions of hikes and always “read the room” concerning individual participants’ interests and needs. Great time throughout, rain and shine!

I just finshed Walking the Amalfi Coast with hotel in March and it was amazing! Matteo was the tour guide and he made it a truly unique and enjoyable experience for EVERYONE!!! I struggled more than I anticipated. Matteo was patient and quick to make sure that I was comfortable and safe at all times, as did the rest of the group. Everyone was wonderful and looked out for one another ❤️ We stayed at Hotel Santa Lucia and it was beautiful. The rooms have balconies and while it's not on the beach it's only a block away. The hotel staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Our meals were at the hotel and of good quality. If you like charcuterie you will love the food but there are many other options to choose from. Chocolate or cream filled croissants for breakfast as well as cheeses and meats, pastries, pound cakes, and traditional breakfast fare(bacon, eggs, potatoes,cereal, etc.). You will not go hungry!! The weather in March was wonderful for hiking. The temps averaged 60s to 70s during the day and a bit cooler nights and mornings. Minori was lively with locals but not overrun with tourists which I personally treasure. You see the city through the eyes of the locals. Public transportation was extremely reliable and not as crowded as the busy season. As someone who was extremely trepedacious about this trip I'm so happy I did it! It was my first group tour and it far exceeded my expectations. Matteo made it especially enjoyable with his passion for the area and knowledge(and he's also quite comedic!). If you are looking for an adventure where there are more locals than tourists then this is the time to go.

The trip was wonderful. Our guide Matteo was very informative and friendly. The walks were a mixture of all kinds of terrain , it was not what I expected but it was enjoyable all the same. There are some steep hills and steps on this trip but I am very glad that I went on this trip. The weather was perfect - not to hot and not too cold. We only had one day of rain.

From start to finish, our guide Matteo was knowledgeable, professional, and incredibly friendly, making the journey both safe and enjoyable. The trails itself was breathtaking, with stunning views, diverse terrain, and just the right balance of challenge and enjoyment. Our guide provided fascinating insights about the local wildlife, plants, and history of the area, which added a whole new layer of appreciation to the hike. He also made sure everyone in the group felt comfortable, adjusting the pace when needed and offering helpful tips for tackling tougher sections. One of the highlights was reaching the summit, where we took in an incredible panoramic view.. Matteo even surprised us with a small snack break, which was a thoughtful touch. Overall, this was a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend booking a hike with Explore if you’re looking for a well-organized, fun, and educational adventure in nature.
