day 1 - Palermo arrival
Enjoy a private transfer from Palermo Airport to your hotel on arrival. Your dinner tonight will either be at the hotel or at a local restaurant.

day 2 - Discover Cefalù, Piazza Armerina, and Catania
Head for the charming coastal town of Cefalù, a former fishing village that is also home to a breathtaking Norman cathedral, famous for its mosaic of Christ Pantocractor, a stunning Byzantine mosaic considered as one of the most important pieces of religious artwork in Sicily.
Take a stroll in the city centre and down the main street to the cathedral and see a medieval wash house built in a rock. Next, it is time to head for Piazza Armerina to visit the world famous Villa Romana del Casale, the richest, largest and most complex collection of late Roman mosaics in the world and a Unesco World Heritage site.
Your day comes to an end upon reaching Catania.
day 3 - Cover Mount Etna and Taormina
Enjoy a buffet breakfast at the hotel. In case the weather is clear, you will go for an excursion to Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe. Visit the Sylvester Craters, located 1,900 metres above sea level, and enjoy a spectacular panorama over the Ionian Sea.
Continue to Taormina, a charming city that is also called 'the pearl of the Ionian Sea'. This city was founded in 400 BC and overlooks the peak of Mount Etna. You have some free time in the city. Shop for handmade laces, coral jewels, ceramics, home-made sweets and preserves down Corso Umberto if you wish to, or simply walk through its tiny streets.
Done with all this, you will then visit a fascinating Greco-Roman theatre. Return to your hotel in the evening.
day 4 - See the highlights of Siracusa and Noto
Head for Siracusa (Syracuse) after a buffet breakfast. Visit the most beautiful Greek colony of Sicily and discover the archaeological park of Neapolis. See the famous Latomie of Paradise as well as a Greek theatre. Today, you will also travel to the island of Ortigia as well as the Baroque old city centre of Siracusa where you can admire a cathedral built on the site of the Temple of Minerva as well as the Temple of Apollo.
You have some free time in Ortigia before we head for Noto, one of the most beautiful cities in Sicily that is famous for the harmony and unity of its Baroque style and is today a Unesco World Heritage site.
Proceed to Ragusa after the trip is over and check into your accommodation on arrival.
day 5 - Take in the highlights of Ragusa, Modica, and Agrigento
Today you will discover the ancient city of Ragusa Ibla, the cradle of Sicilian Baroque that is home to beautiful monuments. Continue to Modica thereafter. This city is also a world heritage and is famous for its Baroque churches and scenic squares. Proceed to Agrigento in the afternoon and visit the magnificent Valley Of the Temples. See the Temple of Concord, which represents one of the most beautiful examples of Greek art in Sicily.
day 6 - Enjoy wine tasting in Marsala
Head for the archaeological park of Selinunte, the largest in the Mediterranean, and take in the sights of its impressive temples and acropolis. Stop at a local farmhouse for olive oil tasting and try some of the other local products as well.
Then continue to Marsala, a city on the western coast that is famous for sweet Sicilian wine. Wander around in Marsala's historic centre and stop by at a famous winery for wine tasting.
day 7 - Explore Palermo and visit Monreale
Continue to Palermo, the capital of Sicily, after breakfast. See its wonderful Arab-Norman cathedral as well as the stunning Cappella Palatina. Also included in your itinerary is the fountain in Pretoria Square adorned with 14th century sculptures followed by Santa Caterina Church and its cloister.
Proceed to Monreale in the afternoon and gaze at its enormous cathedral. Also see its cloister and soak up its ornate design. You are free for the rest of the day.
Please note that you can only see the outer facade of the Arab-Norman cathedral during the holy mass.
day 8 - Palermo departure
Enjoy a private transfer to the airport in Palermo after breakfast. Let us know if you wish to extend your stay in Sicily. We can help you book additional nights.
