In the afternoon, stop at Castel del Monte, one of the most mysterious and fascinating castles in southern Italy designed by Frederick II of Swabia. The guided itinerary, with a professional tour guide, will retrace the fascinating history of the monument, a UNESCO Site since 1996, and describe the various ideas about its probable function, all enriched with anecdotes about the Emperor's life, defined as "Stupor Mundi".
Return to Matera at 5 pm and overnight stay.
day 4 - Alberobello and guided tour
