After breakfast, your journey to Machu Picchu begins with a scenic train ride of about 4 hours from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes, also called "Machu Picchu Pueblo." This charming town is the gateway to the iconic archaeological site, with a train station, craft market, restaurants, and hotels for those who choose to stay overnight and ascend the mountain early.
From Aguas Calientes, a short bus transfer takes you to Machu Picchu, an architectural and engineering masterpiece built as a sanctuary and retreat for the Inca emperor Pachacutec. Known as the "Old Mountain," Machu Picchu is a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.

On the second day, you have the option to return to Machu Picchu to explore additional areas of the citadel. Please note that the entrance for this second day is not included but can be arranged upon request. During your visit, you may choose to walk to Intipunku, or the Sun Gate, where the sunrise aligns perfectly with the main structures of the citadel, creating a breathtaking view. You can also visit the Inca Bridge, an impressive stone construction that historically served as an entrance or exit to the citadel.
For those seeking a more challenging adventure, it is possible to climb Wayna Picchu, the “Young Mountain,” which takes about an hour and offers panoramic views over Machu Picchu. At the summit, the Temple of the Moon awaits, a complex of underground structures thought to have been used by the Inca elite. Access to Wayna Picchu and re-entry to Machu Picchu requires a separate ticket and is subject to availability.

Today you will be picked up from your hotel and driven to Foz do Iguaçu National Park on the Brazilian side, so don’t forget your passport. While Argentina is home to 80% of the falls, Brazil offers the most breathtaking panoramic views. From the Argentine side, you feel immersed in the waterfalls, but it is only from Brazil that you can fully appreciate the immense scale of Iguazú Falls.
Upon entering the park, you will board a bus accompanied by a guide who will take you to the falls. You will have time to explore at your own pace, strolling along the walkways and feeling the refreshing spray of the cascading water. Walk the boardwalk over Salto Santa María, which gives the sensation of walking on water, and get closer to the Devil’s Throat to witness the sheer force and power of the falls.

You will be picked up at your hotel and taken to the Cosme Velho neighborhood to board the cog train that climbs through the Tijuca Forest to the Christ the Redeemer statue. From there, enjoy a panoramic view of Rio de Janeiro, taking in the Sugarloaf Mountain, Guanabara Bay, the Southern Zone beaches, and Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon.
