day 1 - Buenos Aires arrival
Welcome to Argentina!
Upon your arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel and have the rest of the day to enjoy at your own pace.
Buenos Aires is a marvelous and furious cosmopolitan city, full of colors and different kinds of architecture. Capital of Argentina and described as the Paris of South America, Buenos Aires proudly embraces this title, as well as showing off plenty of its own culture!
Argentines are usually eager to host visitors: if you walk the streets with a map, someone will surely stop and ask if you need directions. That’s our spirit! So, for this first day, feel free to wander the cobblestone streets lined with outdoor cafes, enjoy the mouthwatering aroma of prized Argentine beef sizzling on an open “parrilla” (barbecue) and browse the local antique and artisan markets that offer plenty of bargain shopping. And to travel deeper and have a firm grip of the Argentine spirit, find the perfect leather jacket or handbag (Buenos Aires is home to some excellent local designers) and explore the colorful Palermo Soho neighborhoods.
Today you will be picked up at your hotel to explore Buenos Aires's major tourist attractions on this tour that hits all of the highlights of this cultural metropolis. Guided by a knowledgeable guide, learn about Porteño’s lifestyle, vibrant culture, and music.
We will visit important historical monuments on your way to Plaza de Mayo and take a moment to admire significant buildings such as the Casa Rosada or the Congress.
We will experience the European flair that has given the city its fame strolling around eclectic neighborhoods; from antique San Telmo and colorful working-class La Boca to fancy and chic Recoleta with its famous Cemetery, representing the elegant and historical Buenos Aires and containing the graves of many Argentina’s emblematic figures, such as Eva Peron.
At the end of the tour, you will have a transfer back to your hotel.

In the evening you will be picked up from your hotel to be driven to a mythical place where you will discover one of our most ancient traditions.
You will have a memorable night out in Buenos Aires and will experience the passion of the Argentine tango. Tango is: our immigrant origins, the talent of our local artists, the sensuality of the Argentine woman and our way to deal with a broken heart, dancing our way through tragic and yet eternal love stories.
While having dinner, you will enjoy a professional display of tango and music with a group of local artists on stage immersed in an elegant and alluring place. The manners, ambience, clothes and dance steps which tango lovers used to practice 100 years ago will come to life again and you will travel in time for a night.
At the end of the evening, around midnight, you will be driven back to your hotel, fully in love with the bohemian spirit of our beloved Buenos Aires.

Then, we will move to Puerto Piramides from where we will be able to observe a colony of sea lions and later on will have lunch.
We will continue our exploration towards Punta Cantor to observe the outer coast of the peninsula and then reach Caleta Valdes, a large natural creek. After observing the geological formations of the coast we will depart towards Punta Norte. On the way, we may be able to spot some wildlife, such as guanacos, choiques, foxes, maras, piches and skunks.
After enjoying the final views of the day, you will be taken back to your hotel.

Whales Watching navigation
The whale watching navigation departs from Piramides Port. The whale watching trip starts going along the coast in both directions and then getting one or two miles into the sea, to get in touch with the Southern Right Whales.
The first stop is generally at La Lobería (sea lion colony). The sailing along the coast allows one to also watch many cormorant colonies. They build their nests against the cliff and there they also breed and raise their babies. You can also observe other specimens of the coastal bird fauna.
We will continue our navigation to meet the whales. Once we meet them, magic will start. The boat will stop the engines and silence will begin to reign, interrupted only by the sounds of the sea and the occasional bird. In this scenario, the whales will appear next to the boat and we will manage to live together in harmony in the same space for as long as they decide. It will be a unique moment where, if we are lucky, we will be able to see them very close to us.
The estimated sailing time will be 1:30 hs depending on the time of year, weather conditions and the number of animals in the area.
In order to get close to the whales, the "Patagonian Technique" will be used, which allows specialists to navigate and live with them. We will be able to see how the whales pass underneath the boat and approach at impressive distances. Whale watching is completely safe for two reasons: these mammals are extremely peaceful, and the boats have the appropriate safety equipment.
Not included: Ground transportation, lunch / box lunch
Notes and recommendations: Arrive on time for pre-boarding, bring sunscreen, sunglasses, windbreaker clothing and a protective cover for your camera and cell phone in case of splashes.
Operates from mid June to mid December.

day 5 - Penguins in Punta Tombo – Puerto Madryn
Today, we will pick you up in the morning to leave Puerto Madryn and drive 120km (75 miles) south to visit Punta Tombo Provincial Reserve, which houses the largest colony of Magellanic penguins in South America.
After a 2-hour drive along the Patagonian roads, we will arrive at the rookery. The colony's population reaches over half a million birds during the peak season, and the best time to visit is between October and April. One of the greatest features of this reserve is the fact that you can literally walk among the penguins and observe their habits. You'll have the opportunity to see how they feed their chicks, defend their territory, build their nests, and of course watch their characteristic waddle as they get in and out of the sea.
We will stay at the reserve for no less than 3 hours in which we will also visit the Punta Tombo Interpretative Center.

We just returned from a 5-week trip to South America. The team was AMAZING. They helped us plan a very complex itinerary that included multiple cities in Chile and Peru, a side-trip to Easter Island, Machu Picchu and the sacred valley, and finally Iguazu Falls in Argentina and Peru. The advice they gave and the hotels they chose were truly exceptional. The detailed day-by-day itinerary was very helpful, and all of their in-country partners (e.g., drivers, tour guides) were terrific. Everything went perfectly. Best travel experience ever! Thank you, Analia and Antonella!!!

Very enjoyable customized 8-night trip without any problems!
My family booked a customized 8-night trip to Torres del Paine, Perito Moreno and Iguazu and we were happy with how the trip went. Throughout the planning process Lucia and Julieta answered all of our questions and gave us different options that suited our needs. We enjoyed the hotels which were all in excellent central locations (which was what we requested). The professional local operators were both punctual and knowledgeable.
Perhaps the highest compliment is that nothing went wrong during our trip and I doubt that is just by luck :-)
If you are looking for experts to help you plan and organize your vacation, this is a great agency!
