1,783 reviews on bookmundi

From the Mediterranean to the Baltic Sea, Europe's waterways offer a myriad of cruise options that cater to all interests. Simply board your ship and relax as you sail from port to port, visiting amazing destinations like Barcelona, Rome, Athens, and Istanbul. Cruise tours in Europe are massively popular thanks to their all-inclusive nature. With planned shore excursions at each destination, you can make the most of your time on land. These land-based excursions might include a history tour in Europe at destinations like the Colosseum and The Roman Forum if your ship docks in Rome. One of the many options if you’re on a river cruise in Southern Germany might be a wine-tasting tour. If you’re docking in Dubrovnik, you might be able to choose from a cultural city tour, a food tour, or even head off on a day trip to a nearby island. With so many cruise ship tours in Europe to choose from, the world is your floating oyster.

It was a fantastic itinerary, particularly because of the flexibility to join optional outings or take an extra day to explore on your own after you have seen the primary sights. We like to explore on our own but also appreciated that the tour took care of the details for the big attractions that we did not want to miss like the Vatican and colosseum. We also appreciated the warmth wit and knowledge of our guides.

Overall it was a great trip. However, the second hotel in Florence was not as comfortable as the first and last hotels. All three had their pluses and minuses, but were clean and had charm. The guides were personable and helpful, but on excursions could’ve allowed for more shopping time and help with suggestions and traditions. Of course they knew the areas, but the older people were more prone to getting off the beaten path. Maybe text or give out maps of the areas where we’d be left to have free time. Our bus driver was great, both helpful and professional.

I believe we saw just about everything that defines Italy as a perennial dynasty with civilization evolving to what it is today and thousands of years old structures still dominating the landscape. Beyond belief, amazing! And as always, Trafalgar had some unexpected, grand and absolutely pleasing side jaunts to put our vacation over the top. Your travel Directors and Drivers are top notch.

Time at Pisa was a bit rushed but I understand it's a matter of timing with the local guide. ************* is top notch! Well organized and worked hard to keep group activities on schedule despite a couple of unavoidable disruptions (one being that the Pope had a special event the morning we were to visit St Peters, but Gordon and the local guide got us there that afternoon anyway). Most importantly, Gordon is sincere. His dedication to do a great job shows through. We'd book a tour with him in future if at all possible.

Fantastic tour package. See all the major sites but be ready for a lot of walking The local experts were very informative. First full day in Rome is very busy if you include the option experience so be prepared to be exhausted. The rest of the tour timing is significantly better. Venice is like another world. My tour director Gordon was fantastic and had a great sense of humor. He went above and beyond when someone fell ill. Highly recommend this tour if you want the best highlights of Rome. The optionals are worth the money and you won’t regret it!

Allowing free time to explore I felt that we hit all the major highlights although I would have loved to stayed in Assisi longer. Group dinners were delicious & entertaining!
