Great balance of planned activities, free time to explore, and other options if you wanted to participate in more opportunities. Our tour guide, Robbie made the trip more enjoyable. He was so knowledgeable and organized. He paid attention to all the small details. The bus driver was great as well. We were glad that we went a day early to catch up on sleep and get acclimated to Reykjavík and the time difference. The bus transportation requires every person to have their own credit card account number. We tried to use our visa twice and the payment was declined.

We saw the lights several times. Our tour guide Robby knew where to go to see them so we were always successful. The itinerary looks us to very interesting places to learn about the people and history of the island. I highly recommend it.

I felt that every day of the trip was full of worthwhile experiences. We saw a wide variety of cities in Spain from Avila to Madrid to Torremolinos. We enjoyed a Renaissance Fair in Avila, a parade in Salamanca, a dance lesson in Seville, and a Mediterranean beach on the Costa del Sol. Portugal gave us the shrine at Fatima, the resort of Cascais, and a Fado experience in Lisbon. Morocco offered a wide spectrum of experiences. There was such beauty in the detail of the mosques and palaces. The medina in Fes almost defies description. I got to enjoy a fantastic lunch at Rick's Cafe in Casablanca and we were served mint tea in a home in the Ourika Valley. I learned so much as we toured Gibraltar and saw St Michael's Cave and the Barbary Apes. This was an absolutely fantastic trip that I haven't been able to stop talking about.

Some hotels were more than my wife and I expected on a fast paced trip like this. Others were a hole in the wall, but satisfied us after a long and strenuous day. If you decide number 1 item, is to bring comfortable walking shoes. This trip was well worth every penny we spent, to see so much culture, historical sites, and to take in the European hospitality.

Did both South and North. South was little more challenging but duable. Long and some challenging hikes all worth it. Beautiful scenery and beaches. Accomodations were nice. Spiros was very passionate about his job and knowledgeable., also provided great support for me. Overall great experience.

Our tour director and both drivers were professional, courteous, and made sure everyone’s needs were met. We have travelled with 3 companies now and Insight both times were above and beyond the others. We really enjoyed our trip but think 2 more days in Portugal would have been better with 2 days less in Morocco. Spain was perfect with the sites and planning. We stayed an extra 3 days and travelled to Barcelona to cap it off right. I would like to challenge the CEO of Insight. When time permits I think a phone call to these 3 men would be deserving and much appreciated. They are the ones that keep us coming back and I’m sure others think the same. The ball is your court! Great job by all your staff and keep it up.

Travel Tips for Adventure Tours in Europe

  • The best period to climb Mont Blanc is during the European summer, between May and September when temperatures are warm.
